We were in Tahoe this past week, drove up on Tuesday, rain slammed us, and the snow was falling rapidly. Had to use chains to get up the I-80 grade. I made a small slide show to share of nature, and one of the cabin we'd rented. I have many more pictures, but it takes WAY too long to load. Anyway, I hope you enjoy, and it looks like I have some catching up to do. Click on Picture:[a href=" "][/a][/url]

Welcome back! You got some great shots. I need to get you to a reencactment and onto the field with your camera (somehow) and have you get shots of the guns in action.

Nice pictures. We were up in Tahoe January 2008 and had a similar experience with the snow. Great stuff. Your pictures made me miss that area. Wish I could get back up there soon.

Thank you all. I think getting away from the same ole, same ole is really important. Change of scenery can lift your spirits and keep your tired behind working everyday so that you can go see some more...

I love photography as a hobby, and if under pressure to perform I don't seem to capture shots that I'm happy with, go figure. My life is full right now, but in the future I would like to take classes and maybe try to make money here and there, cards etc.

TNG said: great pics but brrrrrrrrr!!! _____________________________________
It's a bit odd, but while running around with snow gear on the cold is not bad at all. My fun friend came up to spend time with us, and late one night (her Birthday) after drinking an impressive amount of Champagne and wine (I'm not telling how much) we'd decided at 1:00 AM we would put our snow gear back on, grab a couple of lanterns and slide down the rather steep sledding hill that we'd created earlier in the day. It was easy going down, but the getting back up with substantial alcohol under our belts was a challenge. We kept sinking up to our hips, falling, and laughed like crazy kids. And, if that wasn't enough exposure to the snow and cold we decided it was time to sit in it and watch the big, bright, twinkling stars for a good 45 minutes to an hour. We didn't have a camp fire, but the light from the lanterns were enough to see by, and between the alcohol and snow gear we weren't very cold at all. I've recently realized that I spend WAY too much time being serious in life and it's really good for the soul to do stupid things once in a while to remember the feeling of being carefree, and even better yet, childish. Life is so short...

Nice pics of Tahoe. Good to see all that Global Warming has not found it's way there yet.
