actually, it didn't.
if you were paying attention at all you would have noticed that the economy experienced unprecedented growth during the "war years." but it was not the wars themselves that brought on the growth. the bush tax cuts, good economic policy, and unfortunately, the housing boom were responsible.

You got that right. An enormous crisis caused by the inaction of Christopher Dodd and Barney Frank. An enormous crisis by operating for year without a real budget, thanks to the Democrat controlled congress and exactly why they are attempting to pass the Omnibus spending bill now. A crisis of Democrat creation. Yeah right, like this was all caused by the Democrats. I'm sure that Bush and the Republican's worthless $1 trillion dollar war and failed financial policies didn't have anything to do with it. Are you denying that Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd did nothing about the housing crisis in spite of warnings by the regulators? Are you denying that in 2008 the Democrats did not pass a budget and instead just passed temporary spending measures? Are you denying that the Omnibus Spending Bill is a left over bill from last year? If you are denying these provable facts then we have nothing left to discuss. For these events occurred, like it or not. I mean you and Mink relish the thought of running rough shod over Republicans and passing taxes and policies that harm the private sector, because you hate the private sector and successful people. It is very apparent. Neither of you believe in liberty or freedom. You both believe in higher taxes and that our government is benevolent. And I bet both of you believe that no individual should earn more then the President. Neither of you believe in the sanctity of work, savings, sacrifice and reward. If you did you would be against the ever increasing tide of government interference. Government interference to the point of making California one of the least free states in the Union. That's right, least free because of ill conceived ideas like you two come up with, liberal ideas. Because of backwards liberal thinking which punishes the citizen, California is ranked 47th on the Freedom Index for Freedom in the States. And with a very low score I might add. My source. Guess what, we need government interference right now. If the guy you voted for, Bob Barr, had been elected it would be a disaster. Obama was elected because we need policies like those FDR used to get us out of the great depression. Americans understand that Obama's policies have the best chance of getting us out of the hole the Republicans put us in.
Your strategy to avert debate by declaring ignorance and denying the truth is appalling. You deny that FDR brought us out of the great depression (an almost undisputable fact) and you deny that human activities have any role in worsening climate change (an undisputable fact based on hard science and almost universally accepted within the scientific community). Seems to me, you would also try to deny that the Holocaust ever happened if it fit your agenda. Wake up to the truth moondog.

The country is in a recession because of the housing crisis, not because of Bush. If you had spent any of your time following the news and events that surround you, instead of looking in every nook and cranny for a Bush conspiracy, you would know that the entire financial crisis is because of AIG insuring banks who had assets that became toxic when homeowners could not pay their mortgages starting in California and Florida. Everything else spread from that one event.
Now, look at this state and how poorly it is doing. You may want to blame Bush or Schwarzenegger, but that is because your simple little mind does not believe that Democrats do any wrong. You oversimplify the problem because that is all you can comprehend. You are incapable of drawing conclusions on your own even when you are presented with ample evidence that Democrats were heavily involved in the housing crisis. Barney Frank videos have been posted on this site from just before the housing crash that proves this, yet you blame Bush and Republicans.
I know truth all right. The truth is you want more federal intervention into my life. You want less freedom and liberty for the people of this country. You want more people to be forced to do things your way with the threat of jail or arrest. You want Obots.
