This is why we need to go back to a part time legislature. Give 'em two months. February and August to get all the work done. Then they won't have time for bullshit like this. Oh, and cut their pay by 5/6th too.

These are both good ideas. I don't see your gripe with them. Shouldn't mechanics be required to make sure their customer's tires are properly inflated? And what does it matter if you can't drive a black car? If it helps fight global climate change, I'm all for it.

Difference is, the things you mentions don't affect anyone else. Tire pressure (car could pull to one side or tire could pop) is very important to everyone on the road, and climate change is affecting us all.

That doesn't prove anything, and in fact, it proves the opposite. Climate change is not simply about the climate getting hotter, it is about the weather patterns getting weirder. From hurricane Katrina to the flooding in Fargo, weather patterns are becoming more and more severe. Thankfully, it looks like Obama is making an attempt at changing the way we get our energy. He is considering how much pollution the sources spew out and ensuring that we don't leave a dirty world for our grandkids. |

If you want to deny what is happening that is fine, there are agenda-driven scientists out there who will support you. Meanwhile, we will go ahead and save millions of lives around the world by reducing the ungodly amount of CO2 that America spews into the atmosphere. |

This is not just about shrinking glaciers. You must stop trying to pick out little pieces (indicators) that you disagree with and take a look at the whole picture.
