looks like i need to bring up a previous analogy:
if your neighbor down the street tells you everyday that he is going to kill you as soon as he gets the opportunity are you going to wait for him to do it? pre-emption in my book is called prevention.

Saunterelle sez...
Wrong again, Saunterelle. What is bankrupting our country are the runaway entitlement programs that the Democrat party continues to defend. How many bipartisan commissions have there been to study entitlements? Four? Five? I've lost count. In every instance, when the committee is preparing to present their results to Congress, the report gets leaked early and the Democrats begin demagoguing it before it is even published. By the time the hearings are held, it's already dead.
I remember when Bush first proposed Social Security reform. My 88-year-old mother was getting letters from Richard (the censor won't let me say D*ck) Gephardt, claiming that Bush was going to cut her Social Security. Gephardt was making this claim in spite of the fact that there was nothing in the Bush plan that would affect current retirees.
Or, how about the Farm Bill? Don't get me started!
Tell me again who is bankrupting the country?

Dragging this thread back on topic, this just came out in today's Wall Street Journal: Well, Saunterelle, for one. But, how could they sneer at someone as charismatic as Obama? Obama has already brought a majority of the Democrat Party into his sway. That pesky Ahmadinejad will be a piece of cake, right?

How shall we pay for clearing the radioactive debris from the streets of Tel Aviv?
Burying Iranian military installations under thousands of J-DAMs may distract them from test-firing more Israel-targeted missiles.
The Boy President thought randomly firing Cruise Missiles into aspirin factories would solve both of his pressing problems: Sadaam & Monica.
How about we adopt his strategy?
Were there any Democrats objecting at the time?
We'll just call the Iranian targets aspirin factories!
