Your questions were unrelated to my response. And I don't claim to know why we went to war. Maybe it was for a strategic military position in the Middle East like mrroqout thinks. Maybe it was for oil. Maybe it was to finish "daddy's" war. The point is, it was a mistake and it was presented to us as a sure thing that turned out to be false. I know you like to try and blame Democrats for this but they weren't the ones selling us on the rush to war.

If you don't know the reason we went to war, then you can not logically conclude it was a mistake.

Perhaps not, but I can conclude that we were lied to.

My point exactly.
A vast conspiracy has been alluded to without evidence or motive.
All the Dems agreed to go.
Five years of intel. all pointed the same direction.
U.N. clears the way to go.
Turns out Sadaam was bluffing.
We called; he lost.
Suddenly it's "Bushliedpeopledied".
It has been like listening to children these last few years.
Making it up as they go along, darker & more sinister demons are hinted at daily.
An all-emotion-based Bush-hating festival, while this good man has kept us free from attack for 7 3/4 years.
It must be true; liberals are not adults.

"U.N. clears the way to go.

FALSE. The U.N.'s position was to allow their weapon inspectors to continue doing their job. If they had, they would have found NO WMDs just like we did after we bombed the country to smithereens.
Sadaam was bluffing? How? He claimed he had no WMD and it turned out he was truthful. How is that bluffing?
Democrats aren't making stuff up as they go along. New information continues to come out, like the information brought forth by Scott McClellan who accused his former bosses of lying to us and Congress to drive us to war.
It is not an emotion-driven Bush hating festival as you claim. There is sound reason to believe we were misled.

Why were you misled?
No motive: no crime.
He gets to do stuff like this if he wants as Commander in Chief.
You get to vote for a guy named Hussein to replace him.
In the meantime you sound like a child.

I just gave you a few possible motives. I don't know for sure what the exact motive was, there are many possibilities.
"He gets to do stuff like this if he wants as Commander in Chief."
Well, if his lies end up killing thousands of Americans and that's okay, then Clinton had the right to get all the head he wants.
"In the meantime you sound like a child."
Then you say:
"You get to vote for a guy named Hussein to replace him."
I'm the one mature enough not to make fun of a guy's name. Maybe you're the douchebag who voted for Bush because he's the guy you'd like to have a beer with.

Actually, I voted for him twice because he & Dick Cheney were the adults on the ticket.
I support him & U.S. bombing anybody we feel is a threat.
I knew some of the soldiers that gave their lives for this struggle.
They had no regrets.
Neither do I.

The moderator screwed up my post.
Richard Cheney was the other adult on the ticket.

"I support him & U.S. bombing anybody we feel is a threat."
In that case, and if Iraq was any indication, our paranoia will destroy us.

Or save us.
Only through the prizm of history will we know.
Many millions thought the threats of the past were illusions or simply lies told by their leaders.
Many millions more paid the price for that type of wishful thinking.
Let Obama the Merciful lead the way to the bright new Golden Age.
Time alone will tell if he is as misguided & foolish as the appeasers of the past.
