so, i've heard. we are all former members (although some still go slumming there occasionally) of the PD. we originally were on the old PD forum and didn't mind that. when they changed format we just couldn't take it anymore and created a place of our own where "grown-ups" can have intelligent discussions. we are rather open-minded but we do appreciate respect and decorum. we don't want this place to devolve into something like the PD. yikes!

Anonymousperson, I've been on the old PD forum for years.....my posts were being scrutinized on the new PD even though I said no curse words or showed disrespect. They had to "approve" my post first.....and I am a Dem. I'm not sure what happened on that forum recently, but it doesn't surprise me any after what they pulled on us taking the old forum away! |

anonymousperson..It's no big loss I was kicked twice(dont understand why) but if you still want to get your 2 cents in its easy to re-register. if you have a comcast or other account that lets you have multiple email accounts just create one and you're on! with a domain site you can have almost endless sign on names(each with different personalities)if you're insane like me and have some fun with them. The PD will never get rid of nacosta or his many friends..LOL

Hi everyone! Oh I miss being there, you know, it's FUN!
I have to tell you why I haven't been here or anywhere all day (except, um, I'm watching "free movies" online - pm me if you want a linky). I was doing the housework this morning, ie, feeding the 2 kitties, doing the housework chores, and I was downstairs watching Grindhouse (the RR one which was called, I forget, can't look things up right now), and I came upstairs bc DH was up, and so I was continuing to watch it, (the first movie is pretty good), but the place I was watching it at conked out. So then, I was looking for another place to see the next part of it, and I was online chatting with my cleaning buddy, and got out of laying down and resting and BANG,
Sciatica! Sciatica so bad I couldn't get up. My back was hurting. Bad.
This was about...9 or 10 am this morning. So since then, I was crying, dh had to help me up, I went downstairs again, finally with his help and was watching a couple of other movies that I want to see, that he has zero interest in seeing (like The Queen, and also some early Chris Nolan directed flix, and the rest of Grindhouse - the Tarantino thing, which sucks and I skipped through, but it got way better at the end).
So, just now, back upstairs, he had me get into the tub with epsom salt, and I hope I get better tomorrow.
Nacosta, seriously now, really GOOD to see you. TNG, Mink, Bulwark, thank you all so very much.
I've never had a really really bad case of sciatica before. I couldn't get in to see my Dr. today either. (Anyone here see Dr. Dervin? I love it that we're all locals here). Dr. Dervin could not see me, and tomorrow, you know, it's his day off, so Wed. 2:00 pm.
I am trying to help myself as well. DH & I have made some terribly nasty tasting stuff for alt med, like ginger, turmeric, garlic drinks with oatmilk and honey (Hector's Honey, local, from the farmer's mkt, good stuff).
Nacosta, yes, I'm insane, but it's fun. It's just venting. I actually LOVE all people. I've told people before, but I'll say it again, my very best friend is Latina! I love love love her.

UPDATE - if anyone cares. I've been in bed since Monday. I literally can not walk around, it was bad. I'm on 600 mg of ibuprofen every few hours, and the dr also gave me a muscle relaxer.
I also have an appt with a phys ther on mon and thurs. I'm hoping i"m better by then.
