some things have a way of making me feel old. watching the tonight show change hands again is one of those things. while i certainly couldn't watch the tonight show w/jay leno every night, i made sure to TiVo the last one.
much like carson, leno has been a class act over the years. i remember johnny's last show back in '92 and it was a tear jerker. jay's wasn't quite so much because in the back of our minds we know he's coming back to television in september. still, it is hard to see the changing of the guard of this american institution without being a little choked up. and just like johnny, jay had to fight back a few tears as his voice cracked a bit.
