Smear? I thought it was supposed to be satire. After all, Suantrelle went to great pains to explain it in the other thread. By the way Mink, have you even read the article that goes with that cover? Inquiring minds want to know. It's fifteen pages so not a light read, but you will find it here. |

Lordy! Just look at the source - The New Yorker, for gods sake! A publication KNOWN for satire on its cover. Just the Angela Davis look it gave to Michelle should have been the tip off.

The editor had his "intentions".
The electorate will determine the consequences.
To many, it was not satire but confirmation.

Harpman, they never learned about The Law of Unintended Consequences. Intent is all that matters, results are meaningless to them. If they wish hard enough, why, water WILL run uphill. (and when it doesn't they will blame Bush)
