no bailouts were necessary. bush offered up the first 25B because he didn't want his legacy on his way out to be the guy who "let" detroit fail.
car companies like GM and Chrysler should have been allowed to fail. california is in danger of failing. are we getting a bailout? NO. REJECTED. not necessary because california is already in the bag for democrats. it's a sure thing. california gets NO love from obama, pelosi, read, etc.
michigan and ohio (swing states) get showered with $$ and "shovel ready" jobs to ensure they vote the right way come 2010 and 2012.

All they would have to do is give us the $46 billion they take from us each year, after they spend money in our state. We only get back 78 cents on the dollar, and we send in nearly $300 billion a year to the Federal Government. Oh, and DC gets $5.55 on every federal dollar sent in, though it has been as high as a $6.28 return. Yet, we are not allowed to have a mere $24 billion? The damn auto industry got a lot more then that, for two companies. See where we stand in the eyes of the leftists? They know hacks like saunterelle will not change their vote, so look for our returns to dwindle and no help with the financial morass caused by the leftists of this state. Just look at those pigs, rooting around for more money from the tax payer. It has not even been a year and the Democrats still want more taxes, in spite of the OBVIOUS MANDATE by the voters that they do not feel they need more. Perhaps Ted Kennedy and the LBJ estate can pay for our problems, since they caused most of it with the immigration bill of 1965. |
