okay, we all know what he was thinking. the "you know what" was talking to him. although gov. sanford (who i used to admire as a great man) and his wife have been trying to work thru this for several months i just don't understand why he virtually disappeared for 4 days without letting his family know his whereabouts. story herep.s. i'll go ahead and start the timer to see how long it takes santurelle to turn this into a "hypocritical republican" issue. Hell, he was just taking lessons in the Slick Willy School of Governerorship. At least he didn't use his official limo to take him to cheap motels and have his guards outside the door. Or keep her quite by arranging a late night car ride like one senior Senator from MA. Yeah, way to pass the buck. You harped on Clinton non-stop when all he got was a blowjob. Don't forget, gov. Sanford was the President of the Republican Governor's Association. The Nevada Republican who was caught a few months ago was a member of the "Promise Keepers." What a crock! Republicans are quick to cast the first stone (and continue to cast stones against Clinton, Edwards, etc.) while they themselves are guilty of the same conduct, or worse in the case of these guys and Mark Foley, Larry Craig, etc... hypocrites.

Oh, I'm SO sorry, ella. I should have put some little smiley faces there so you would know I was being sarcastic. I forgot you need those to make some sort of sense of thing.
Yes, libs like you are hypocrits. You praise your own adulerers and murderers, buy condemn anyone else for your own political advantage.
"He only got a blow job" - that he admitted to in public. After he lied about it. And used sophistry to say that wasn't sex.
I guess according to you killing off your lover before she can go public and ruin your political career is OK too. Yeah, the Dems are fine ones to climb all over Sanford about it. At least his lover is still alive.

What does someone's political stance have to do with having an affair? Just because a person might belong to a certain group that believes in one thing or another does not necessarily speak to the whole person. You all don't really believe that I hope!

None of the Republicans mentioned above knowingly gave false testimony under oath to a federal grand jury about their sexual exploits. Mr. Clinton did. Game, set, match. Nice try Mr. Misdirection.

Republicans are quick to cast the first stone (and continue to cast stones against Clinton, Edwards, etc.) while they themselves are guilty of the same conduct, or worse in the case of these guys and Mark Foley, Larry Craig, etc... hypocrites. Bill Clinton was not put on trial for his "blowjob." Bill Clinton went on trial for sexual harassment, if you recall. I believe his accuser, because no one can make up that his "penis was only as big around as a quarter," as Paula Jones testified on the stand. Billy Jeff paid Paula Jones $850,000 to settle her sexual harassment case. Kathleen Willey was a loyal Democrat and supporter of Bill Clinton until he grabbed her hand and placed it on his genitalia. Who could forget Gennifer Flowers? Not only was Bill Clinton accused of numerous affairs and sexual harassment, he was also accused of rape, by one Juanita Broaddrick. When it was over, Mrs Broaddrick claims, Mr Clinton told her that she should not worry because he was sterile due to a bout of childhood mumps. (Chelsea was born two years later and Bill is sterile? Or was he lying?)
Mrs Broaddrick is not directly quoted in the Journal's account of the alleged rape but in response to Mr Clinton's sterility claim she said: "As though that was the thing on my mind - I wasn't thinking about pregnancy or about anything. I felt paralysed and was starting to cry."
She added: "This is the part that always stays in my mind - the way he put on his sunglasses. Then he looked at me and said 'You better put some ice on that'. Then he left."
Norma Rogers, a friend of Mrs Broaddrick, told the Journal that she found the alleged victim in a state of shock. In reported speech, she is said to have alleged that Mrs Broaddrick's lips were discoloured and swollen to twice their normal size and the crotch of her tights was torn.
"She just stayed on the bed and kept repeating 'I can't believe what happened'," Mrs Rogers said.
Mrs Broaddrick's story has been the subject of rumours for years, and was widely circulated in 1992 when Mr Clinton was running for president.
Until now she has refused to speak about the incident, and denied the story in an affidavit to lawyers for Paula Jones, who brought a sexual harassment case against Mr Clinton in 1994.Judging by this photo, Bill Clinton, who is groping Fran Drescher, a victim of rape, Billy Jeff has not changed his ways at all. And, Feinstein, Boxer and then entire NOW organization say nothing.

What, no quips, no come backs? What is the matter saunterelle? Your attempt to mischaracterize the actions of Governor Sanford seem to have back fired when you compared him to Billy Jeff. Why is that? Is it because, unlike me, you don't really recall the issues surrounding him? Or are you just being a good little leftist and spreading lies and innuendo?
