I find it completely disrespectful of the office to have a "beer" summit. Then to see him slouched back in his chair with his jacket off and sleeves rolled up made him look like he didn't care about the whole thing at all. It was nothing but a photo op trying to make the President seem like a "normal" guy but he looked way out of place. I'm sure they told the cop to say that everything is cool now so that everyone would stop reporting it. I bet he has orders to keep his mouth shut from here on out about the incident or anything that was said at the beer summit. Ok, nothing was resolved at Obama's beer bust. But I have a couple of questions. What in the hell was Biden doing there when the poor lady who phoned in on 911 was excluded ?How silly did this whole thing look with Barry and Biden in long sleeve shirts and the officer and perp in suit and tie ?How far can this sorry excuse of a president fall ? media.townhall.com/Townhall/Car/b/holb090728_cmyk20090727060655.jpg

I thought it was cool that he brought them together to have a beer and set aside their differences. It was more symbolic than anything else.

Nothing happened at this distraction.
No apologies. Nothing. The two people who should have been apologizing didn't - Obama and Gates. They learned nothing from this "teachable moment." This whole event could've been over before it started had Gates not had a chip on his shoulder and a shitty attitude and if Obama hadn't fueled the fire in front of the entire nation. What a dumbass.
Isn't that what Obama is all about?
All symbolism, no substance.
Did he invite Joltin' Joe over so the event wouldn't look too black?

This may be the first meeting that the former ACORN organizer has had where he didn't aplogize for something.
Look on the bright side - this one oly cost us the price of a few beers.

Isn't it funny (or shameful) that this twit of a president can travel the world over apologizing for you and me but the sad sack of crap can't muster the balls to apologize to one of America's finest?
A true product of the Wright-Phlager school of hate.
A few beers, Subdjoe? This is going to cost us plenty more than that. The "post racial" president has just set race relations in America back 20 years.

In the Official White House Photo, Little Slick Bambo is walking a few steps ahead, and Crowley is assisting Gates down the steps.
The man who serves the people is helping someone.
The fraud rookie is strutting in front, cuz "It's all about ME!"
This putz is shameful.
God, do I miss Bush and Cheney!
Real men, not hustler twits.

here's that pic: one website sees this as a metaphor for obamacare: The elderly are left behind, with only the kindness of the Crowleys of the world, the stand up guys, to depend on. The government has other priorities.

The government has other priorities. That is well said. Note the way the former ACORN organizer struts ahead in his own self importance, turning his back on his old friend and leaving him behind. Note how it is the cop who hangs back to assist someone who had been reviling him with hate speach just a few weeks ago.

Like all liberal icons; Bambo is a stone fraud.

I thought it was cool that he brought them together to have a beer and set aside their differences. It was more symbolic than anything else. What I heard was that they agreed to disagree about the incident, thus they set aside nothing. As a former police officer, I would NEVER have participated in such a farce, not even to "go to the White House". I'm sure he was ordered to do so. And as an intelligent guy with a brain, I can see what a sham this was for the President to put on. I'm not fooled.
