Happened to see a nicely produced 60 second spot for the Henry Repeating Arms Company. In primetime, and not on any of the outdoor channels I watch from time to time. On Fox News Channel... in the middle of O'Reilly. Then a while later there was a 30 second spot for the Bass Pro Shops new fall HUNTING catalog, which included footage of some hunter looking guy carting out a good sized elk rack on top of his backpack. The clear implication of the imaging would be that the dude killed the elk. I had to wonder.... has the nation begun to go insane? Ads for the hunting and shooting sports on a national cable news channel? The most watched one, no less? What next? NRA membership ads? Springfield Armory or Smith & Wesson spots for their latest semi-auto defensive pistols? Hot damn!!!! Is America finally waking up?
