They do the same thing here in California TBD. There was an article on it last year and the cost associated with it. It mostly occurs in Southern California.

Hey-Hey, the dummy is back. How come there is nothing said about Clinics when Uninsured Mexicans are mentioned? Correction: When the 15% is mentioned?
Yep, The Health care system works so well for so many people, it doesn't seem fair that 15% of the people should be left out. [Less Clinic Patients too]. Lets just "show" the 85%, and take away their benefits, and give them to the 15%. Why you ask? Who the hell knows? [TIC]

"I may be wrong, but not far from it." Haw... Oh yeah, "JERRY BROWN FOR GOVERNOR."
How do all the Free Clinics fit into all of this? Or for that matter, the Hospitals? How does it affect the percentages that are so Loosely cast about? Where do all the uninsured get medical attention? How about Special Programs for those who have no insurance? How about all those uninsured who have babies? How about this? Doesn't the Federal Government subsidise Hospitals to take care if the Indigent?...Just askin.

"I may be wrong, but not far from it." Haw... Oh yeah, "JERRY BROWN FOR GOVERNOR." I may be wrong, but not far from it.... what a brilliant statement. You should be awarded a hockey puck for that twisted bit of syntax. The burden has largely been shifted from the federal government to the states. The fed requires that treatment be given but doesn't reimburse for the expense. That's called an "unfunded mandate". And at the end of the day, it's still the beaten down taxpayers that have to pick up the tab, regardless of which level of government "pays" for it. Hence the problem with the entire system. And merely shuffling the deck chairs around and moving the payer up to the fed doesn't solve the root cause of the issue. Regardless of how much Rooseveltian progressivism you were a beneficiary of way back when, some poor bunch of saps has to pick up the tab. If you are not one of the saps, then it makes it easy for you to get behind it and think it a wonderful idea.

By the way, The Federal Government gives money to hospitals to treat Indigent Patients. ;D
Another by the way: I'm aware of Syntax errors. Mine are not errors. BD reads it over again. I keep my thoughts out in front this way. And besides, I don't do a lot of correcting of mistakes by others. And besides, I have to read a lot of BS by others, but I don't Squawk about it. Oh, WTH. ;D
