TNG, since you referred to me as an "in house lib" I am not going to take anymore time to post on this subject since it will fall on, well, blind eyes in this case. Stereotype me and I'm done! How about "left leaning moderate?" EVERYONE stereotypes, JMO. |

I was referring to this thread, but... I have plenty to say, but if I have to trudge up hill against your apparent preconceived ideas why bother?! If really frustrates me that lib/neo-con thing continues in the forum. We have all been exchanging ideas for years now, and I was hopeful that despite our differing views we could muster an open mind toward each other's opinions. I find value in all of you and I try not to minimize your opinions by some empty stereotype (unless provoked). Instead of taking my ball home, I choose instead to throw it at you!  |

If you want to split hairs subdjoe, but I would say just labeling someone with a generic stereotype deflates the integrity of a debate verses forming an opinion, or assessment of another based on past statements, and frankly I don't see myself as full blown in house liberal.
I may be the only one in the forum that feels this way, but when I come to this forum I come because I like most of you, and I like to share news stories, opinions etc. and get your feedback, even if it's an opposing opinion since most responses are well thought out, and I have gained perspective and knowledge that I wouldn't otherwise get. All I ask is that the same is returned.
It isn't just this thread, I guess my nerves are wearing thin around all of the negative comments made about being "right" or "left" especially siince in the end we are all in this "thing" together as Americans!

Funny Avenger! I don't ordinarily "run away," but as I attempted to point out, it can feel like an uphill battle in this forum sometimes. I can easily reply with like comments, be clever, do my research and battle on, but there are days when the energy it takes to do that seems like wasted effort. It would be NICE to offer an opinion and have others take it for how it was intended without a political slant. This is NOT my car:.jpg)
