Personally, I wouldn't mind it reverting to the original
"I pledge allegiance to my flag, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
Not quite sure I agree with the 'indivisible' part, since there is still nothing in how the Federal government is constituted that explicitly prohibits a state from leaving the union. But I do like the "my flag, and the republic". phrasing. Makes it personal.
