I am getting upset by this stuff. One stabbed in back in Petaluma fight. All 18, if found, should spend life in indentured servitude to this country. And before you say that is illegal, I point to our constitution, once again. Amendment 13 - Slavery Abolished. Ratified 12/6/1865.1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction. 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Interesting thing about this amendment - the states that were in the CSA were forced to ratify it BEFORE being readmitted to the Union ("readmitted" at the point of a bayonet, mind). If they were not part of the Union, how could they ratify it? If they could ratify it, how could they not be part of the Union? A few of the nothern states didn't ratify it until after the southern states had.
Oh, and to stay on topic and not hijack your thread -
You are wrong on your solution. What CA needs to do is ban knives. Who needs them? Maybe a few trainded and licensed professional chefs and meat cutters. After all, you can buy just about all food products already cut up. We must take these weapons of mass destruction off the streets. There is no Constitutional right to knives, nowhere in it does it give us the right to keep and bear knives. (have I missed any of the usual points used by the antis?)

[Witnesses said between 16 and 18 youths, some wearing bandanas to cover their faces, flashed gang signs before the fight broke out. Police said the neither the victim nor witnesses could identify anyone involved in the fight or stabbing.] Let me get this straight, the victim couldn't or wouldn't identify any of his other gang members that were in the fight? " Don't Snitch"

We could always bus the convicted illegals to San Francisco (A sanctuary city) where Mayor Newsom and the City Council could oversee their indenture.

Yep, no gang problem in Petaluma. Perhaps police chief Steve Hood is starting to read the daily reports now?

Knife control is the solution. Afterall, criminals always obey laws once laws are in place. The topic of knife control was discussed in greater detail in this thread: forums.pressdemocrat.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3601086917/m/5921019747

Thanks, Surefire. Your response to my post was quite good, too. A nice followup with "reasonable" restrictions.
All did was take the idiotic rhetoric the powerful and well finaced anti-civil rights uses about guns and apply it to another inanimate object. Sounds just as idiotic applied to knives as it does to guns.

I blame most of America's ills on poor parenting. Stop buying your little bastard those gang accessories. (Gangsta rap,red & blue belts,etc.....)

You mean like "parents, be at home, help with homework, turn off the TV, sit at dinner with everyone and talk" and stuff like that? Sorry, we've got to go for the $. Get with the New World and let the government raise the kids. It will lower your taxes as well.
