Oh puh-leeeze.
First off, relying on Keith Olbermann (who is getting his brains beaten out in the ratings) as the objective source for "news" about his competition (did I mention he's getting his brains beaten out?).
Second, Scott McClellan was later forced to admit that he lied about who was faxed talking points during his interview with Chris Matthews. McClellan claimed, weakly, that he had been "led" by Matthews and simply "went along with it". That is ludicrous on face considering McClellan's resume and experience.
Third, by the sanctimonious caterwalling coming from Olbermann (and echoed apparently by Saunterelle above) you'd think the Bush White House invented talking points. Well here's a news flash... no less an authority about running the political side of the White House than Dick Morris publicly lashed liberal icon Alan Colmes a year or two ago when the sort of bilge Olbermann is breathlessly reporting was being kicked down the road the first time.
Colmes was crapping on the Bushies for faxing out talking points. Morris looked at Colmes and said something to the effect of this would be no surprise as he, Morris, had done exactly that daily when he was in the White House and running Clinton's political operation, sending faxes of talking points to sympathetic reporters and commentators in the media.
Colmes was indignant and denied that he had ever received such faxes. Morris replied that Colmes was in his speed dial back then and that he, Morris, would be happy to trot the details out.
Colmes changed the subject quickly.
While Olbermann, with an obvious axe painted in dollar signs to grind, and Saunterelle pee and moan about Fox News, they neglect to understand that there are more sources for news out there aside from ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN and MSNBC. Fox is just one. Well informed persons seek multiple sources for their news.
I know I do.
So in the final analysis I think that some of the critics needs to grow up and try broadening their base of information. At least to broaden it from someone like Olbermann who is openly and unapologeticallly partisan and will do or say just about anything to try and pull a fraction of a rating point away from the competition.

Gee, sounds like the D&Cs relationship with the rest of the MSM and sites like The Daily Kos. So, why is it acceptable for liberals um.. progressives ah....Democrats to do this, but not the GOP?
Can you say double standard? Just like they brey about being the party of diversity, tolerance, and inclusiveness, yet literally shout down anyone who dares to voice an opinion different from theirs.
Nice try Saunterelle. But you just opened up a big can of whup-ass on the left.
