Many of you are familiar with the current kerfluffle over the speaking fees being paid by the CSU Stanislaus Foundation for Sarah Palin to speak at a fundraiser for the foundation. State Senator Leland Yee (D-SF) wants to know the details of the contract for the speech, and the issue has compounded over an alledged attempt to toss the documents rather than let them be subject to the FOIA. Even the PeeDee weighs in with with an op-ed this morning (which is not posted on their webpage yet), exploring the questions of possible destruction of documents, and going over the lurid details of Mrs. Palin's contract.
I was just wondering: How would this discussion be different if the subject was, say, Al Gore? Would the State Attorney General, who couldn't be bothered with joining other state attorneys general in suing the federal government over the unconstitutional issues in the Healthcare bill, devote his time and staff to looking into a contract between Mrs. Palin and an independent fund-raising organization?

I find it odd that the Left makes a big huffy point of the "perks" Mrs. Palin requests...2 bottles of water with bent straws....now there's a diva for you! I wonder what Al Gore would have demanded? It's very clear that the rabid hatred and pursuit of Sarah Palin is due to outright fear of her potential. I don't think she is presidential material, however she has far more qualifications than the part-time junior senator, community organizer, full time campaigner and secret radical that is now in office. Mrs. Palin has talent in getting the message out there and I am sure she can be helpful in supporting a candidate that could help boot Obama out on his ass.

Right out of Saul Alinsky's "Rules For Radicals":
1. Isolate.
2. Demonize.
