I have W's book on pre-order with Amazon. Like you, I am looking forward to reading it. Try to read Bill O'Reilly's "Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity"....it's a great read! Going through it for second time and still laughing.

I remember about 15 years ago having to show a kid, maybe about 11 or 12 years old, how to use a rotary. "put your finger in there at the number you want. Run it around to the stop. No, the other way. Let go."

LOL....I am dating myself here, but I remember my Grandmother's phone out on Dry Creek not even having a dial...had to pick up the receiver and wait for the operator (in Healdsburg) asking what number you wanted, then chat while you waited for her to connect you. It was a party line, which meant you usually had to wait for the old ladies who were always on the line talking about the latest soap opera episodes (on RADIO). Also, you had to wait for your specific ring to know if it the phone call was for you...one long and two shorts....3 shorts, one long....etc. The operator always wanted to catch up on the local gossip and pass it on. "Kids home from school today? They sick?". Oh, and the phone numbers were really kool....3M6 and easy stuff like that. No area codes. Man, do I feel OLD!

If you are concerned about how the "data" about "global warming" is collected/manipulated then presented as "facts".....try this book: STATE OF FEAR by Michael Crichton. Scary because it's more truth than fiction. Think Al Gore and his ilk, then realize what big money can do to corrupt the "science". Beware of profit making prophets.

Well, I finished reading "State of Fear" and if you really want to know how the fear-mongers like Al Gore are able to manipulate the masses, you should read it yourself.
The book is well written and provides hundreds of references by scientists, climatologists and others in the field of climate change that cast doubt, dispel or actually refute the "facts" pumped up and out by those shouting about "global warming". It will not only make you think twice about the garbage being spewed as "facts", but make you want to do your own research in order to be able to intelligently "debate" the fools who run with what they hear from the mass media and try to spread the fear. All in the name of money.

When I was finished reading "State of Fear" and how it exposed how the global "warming" fear-mongers dupe us, I went on to read "Hollywood Hypocrites" by Jason Mattera. Boy, what an expose of the loud-mouthed Hollyweird bunch that spout about how "we" (aka:YOU little people) are killing "mother earth" with your cars, SUV's, trips to the store, non-"greenie lifestyles" all the while they are zipping around the globe in their personal jets to lecture the "masses" about those "evils".
What an eyeopener!
From exposing (pun intended) Al "Massage-my-Groin" Gore and his massive money-makers (Smart Meters/Grid) as well as other "green" rip-offs he is enriching himself from while leaving Sasquatch "carbon footprints" across the globe, to other Eco-Crites like Mr.&Mrs. Sting, Harrison Ford, Robert Redford, Leo DiCaprio, Laurie David, Brad Pitt, Natalie Portman, Jennifer Lopez, Paul McCartney, George Clooney, Jann Wenner(Rolling Stones Magazine), James Cameron, Madonna,....the list is rather long and shocking...well, not really shocking as it basically includes the loudest Eco-crites in Hollyweird and in other spotlights, who JET AROUND THE GLOBE preaching to the unwashed masses how terrible we are for driving our cars to the market for groceries rather than grow our food at home, all the while sending personal maids to the markets in limos to shop for soup and salad supplies for their kid's dinner (Mrs. Sting).
Yeah, the book is interesting, but it will make you puke. No big surprises to Conservatives when reading documented facts about the hypocritical life-styles of the Obama Green Team. I doubt Liberals will bother reading something that would make them cringe (at least the honest ones would).
