When the hell did we get an auto-censor?
I just had as-hole modified to "not a very nice person"
Now, when I describe liberals as leftist as-holes, i get leftist not a very nice person.
Has political correctness gotten to the point that are very culture is being sanitized to the point that we should be seeing book burnings of such classics as Huckleberry Fin and Naked Lunch?

i don't recall a**hole being in Huck Finn.
on the positive side, we can use more colorful words here than the PD. while there are plenty of words one may use in this forum there are a few that are perhaps a little less than tasteful.
however, as administrator, i am here to please. if everyone is cool with your word then i will delete it from the censor.

You're right, no as-holes in Huckleberry Finn:
[The people whom Huck and Jim encounter on the Mississippi are drunkards, murderers, bullies, swindlers, lynches, thieves, liars, frauds, child abusers, numbskulls, hypocrites, windbags and traders in human flesh. All are white. The one man of honor in this phantasmagoria is 'Ni--er Jim,' as Twain called him to emphasize the irony of a society in which the only true gentleman was held beneath contempt."
The American Library Association ranked Huckleberry Finn the fifth most frequently challenged (in the sense of attempting to ban) book in the United States during the 1990s.]

I have no problem with any words that people choose to use. Well, I do sort of object to the over use of the 4 letter word for fornicate being over used. But, as with anything else, if you use slurs, epithets, and/or vitriol, expcet to take responsibiliy for your own words and do not be surprised if people come back at you and beat the crap out of you.
