Is that an attempt at humor? Conservation is what I do. I drive a 4 cylinder vehicle, which gets excellent gas millage. I walk when possible. I limit my trips. Why should I have more legislation, that is not conservation. "smarmy" I'm not sure that fits the criteria for a smite, (not that there is any) or, is a word. Well, I'm proud of you bloverk for being such a "greeny" and responsible for our environment. What has become essential now, I have been doing all my life.....the way my Democrat parents taught us. It's all about resources, no waste and respect for the Earth! BTW, as soon as I am able, I will exalt saunterelle for all the smites you give him for having an opinion that differs from yours smarmy, Definition from Merriam Webster Main Entry: smarmy Pronunciation: \ˈsmär-mē\ Function: adjective Inflected Form(s): smarm·i·er; smarm·i·est Etymology: smarm to gush, slobber Date: 1924 1 : revealing or marked by a smug, ingratiating, or false earnestness <a tone of smarmy self-satisfaction — New Yorker> 2 : of low sleazy taste or quality <smarmy eroticism> — smarm·i·ly \-mə-lē\ adverb — smarm·i·ness \-mē-nəs\ noun Are you satisfied? One would think you and saunterelle would be intimately familiar with the definition. As to exalting saunterelle, be my guest. However, I do not smite him for having a different opinion. As I state in each of my smites, I give them for his presentation or attitude. And, if you count my explanations, I was not the person who gave him all of his smites. Thank you though. You have actually affirmed the suspicions of why his exalts were so high, given some of his intentionally derogatory posts. And, by the way, being smarmy is a perfect reason for a smite.

Duping seems a pretty good reason for a smite as well. See the top of this page.

Duping seems a pretty good reason for a smite as well. See the top of this page. Only if it is intentional. Since your definition of Smarmy was not included on the same page that her post was on, I did not see it when I replied. But, I do appreciate the assist in showing our liberal friend that I actually do have a decent grasp of the English language. Thank you. Perhaps an exalt is in order.

I see I am back to zero karma points. I like that. Means I am making my points, and in typical fashion, liberals lash out, without explanation or reason, other then frustration.

Bolverk, I have to say I am impressed that you do say when and why you click the smite link, on the other hand I don't know why someone would deserve it for posting an opinion. This forum would be boring if we were all of the same opinion.

I do try to smite for more then just an opinion. In the case of saunterelle, you can hear his attitude toward people who do not think like him in nearly every post. He usually gets a smite for condescending posts and such.
He and I are diametrically opposed. I want to help people to help themselves. He wants the state to help people and then direct their lives because they helped them. I wish to empower people, he wishes to empower the state to have power over to many aspects of peoples lives.
I will never conform to the liberal agenda.

Well, call me what you will or smite me, if that makes you feel better ;D I guess I don't see the presentation or attitude, you claim, that you see with saunterelle. Instead, I see a participant who will give another point of view, different from what this forum has been so accustomed to in the past. I see a very careful show of respect as he presents his opinion, backed up by fact/s. I exalt him for these reasons, and, no, I haven't given him all of his well-earned karma points. Someone else must see and appreciate his point of view as well as me. Bloverk, I know that you always explain your exalts/smites and thank you for being so honest, even when I disagree with some of your posts.

Please.....you flatter yourself too much, or maybe saunterelle should be just as flattered?? As for your making your points, well,.....? (hit and miss)
