I found this quite ironic. Guess Gore must have been suffering from oxygen deprivation from either too much CO2 in our atmosphere or from his head suck up his ass. Gore Beat Bush In Florida Says New Recount Bush would have narrowly prevailed in the partial recounts sought by Gore (in the four Democratic counties, Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Volusia), but Gore could have "reversed the outcome -- by the smallest of margins -- had he pursued and gained a complete statewide recount," according to one interpretation of the database compiled by the monstermedia consortium. Under any standard that counted all disputed votes in Florida, Gore erased Bush's advantage and emerged with a tiny lead that ranged from 42 to 171 votes. Gore followed a legal strategy that would have led to his defeat even if it had not been rejected by the U.S. Supreme Court, according to one interpretation set for publication. Gore sought a recount of a small number of disputed ballots while the review indicates his only chance lay in a course he advocated publicly but did not pursue in court -- a full statewide recount of untallied votes! Gore took a 171-vote lead when the consortium tried to recreate how each county said it would handle a court-ordered statewide recount, and a 42-vote lead under what was called the "Palm Beach standard". _____________________ www.issues2000.org/Florida_Recount.htm

President Gore, perish the thought.
We may not have gotten everything we'd hoped for in Bush, but he's a far cry better than Gore. I shudder to think of the neck deep crap we'd be in now if he'd attained the office.

It took 8 years, but from the mists of time emerges the long lost victory for Algore.
When John McCain wins in Nov., will The One claim a victory due to cheating, or racism?

Big Al inventer of the internet, protector of the environment and all time looser is still crying He's crying all the way to the bank... $150 million, maybe more, from hyping the anthropogenic global warming hysteria and investing heavily in the "green" technology that is being invented out of people's asses (in some cases) to "solve" it. Al Gore is perhaps the quintissential American success story, the Elmer Gantry for the next generation. After all, he was stupid enough to lose a certain win to an (as the left describes) imbecilic baboon. Shunned by his party and his people within six years he emerged from the shattered reality.... an oracle. Right or wrong, you've got to hand it to the guy for his chutzpah if nothing else.

Had he been elected president he'd have neither the nobel or the oscar, nor the "fame" and money that come with them. I'd say he won, alright.

Well, it just would have taken a few more years longer to achieve the nobel for Gore....he was destined. Meanwhile, we got a war, near-recession economy, lack of healthcare, no jobs......etc., wow, what a bargain and some want to compare???

Well, it just would have taken a few more years longer to achieve the nobel for Gore....he was destined. Destined? ?? OMG, I can't believe you pulled that obtuse a comment out of your pocket. Here's a news flash... were he president he wouldn't have made the ridiculous piece of propaganda that is "An Inconvenient Truth". Wait... a near recession? I'm confused, or have the facts finally made it through the progressive fog and taken hold? Lack of healthcare... you mean lack of government issued health care, do you not? Like that's a bad thing? No jobs... seriously, do we need to revisit that? You got your hat handed to you last time.

You are in a serious state of denial.
I said, it would have just taken alittle longer before he received the nobel.........in other words, after the presidency.
As for what we got from Bush? You are in a serious state of denial.

What i found ironic is, if Al Gore had been the least bit honest to himself and the American people:
[Even under the strategy that Gore pursued at the beginning of the Florida standoff — filing suit to force hand recounts in four predominantly Democratic counties — Bush would have kept his lead, according to the ballot review conducted for a consortium of news organizations.
But the consortium, looking at a broader group of rejected ballots than those covered in the court decisions, 175,010 in all, found that Gore might have won if the courts had ordered a full statewide recount of all the rejected ballots. This also assumes that county canvassing boards would have reached the same conclusions about the disputed ballots that the consortium’s independent observers did.
The findings indicate that Gore might have eked out a victory if he had pursued in court a course like the one he publicly advocated when he called on the state to “count all the votes.” ]
What amazes me, is Mink and so many other parrots are willing to follow this liar and cheat while at the same time bash the current liar and cheat in the White House.
I guess it really doesn't matter, we seem to get the bottom of the barrel when it comes to moral ethics and candidates running for high office.
Just when are the American Voters going to get tired of voting for these "lesser of the two evils" and start demanding that these political parties start runing candidates that we can get behind and support?
A peaceful revolution is an oxymoron.
Change will come from either a violent revolution or a peaceful evolution.
Liars and cheats not welcome.

Why do I have the feeling you are unhappy with the current choices, Ferrous?
Looking back at what Gore did or didn't do may or may not have affected our current predicament, so what now?
