What do we do now?
I have no idea what others are going to do, but recently I have been pondering to not "vote for the lesser of two evils" but to try and get Sen. Obama elected not because I think he will succeed but rather hoping that he will fail.
And I'm not talking about failure in the lesser degree like one stubbing a toe, but failure as to rip apart the social fabric of our country. A real crash and burn failure.
Our country is on the verge of collapse while the world is headed to war.
To continue this stalemate in our congress only weakens us. The only chances we might have is to allow the Democrats to take full control, hoping that either their progressive form of government works in todays world or, watch them take down the country and hope that there is still time for the American citizens to rise to the occasion and begin the task of trying to put this country back together.
Before it is too late.
The divisiveness in our government is threatening not only our national security but the very freedoms we have taken for granted.
Yes, as the world heads to war, we are still bickering amongst ourselves, showing our enemies just how weak we have become.

Lincoln's House Divided Speech:
The most well-known passage of the speech is:
"A house divided against itself cannot stand." I believe this government cannot endure, permanently, half slave and half free. I do not expect the Union to be dissolved — I do not expect the house to fall — but I do expect it will cease to be divided.
It will become all one thing or all the other. Either the opponents of slavery will arrest the further spread of it, and place it where the public mind shall rest in the belief that it is in the course of ultimate extinction; or its advocates will push it forward, till it shall become alike lawful in all the States, old as well as new — North as well as South.

One only has to replace the word "slavery" with "progressive" or Socialist" and we can see that what was true in 1858 is still true, today.
