I have seen women in these burqas before, while on vacation abroad. It turns my stomach every time, to think women are treated in such a fashion.

Now, now. We must remember to resect their cultural context. How dare you try to judge them by western standards and mores. After all, it isn't like they are those bigoted, intolerant Christians.

We agree!! I mean if they wish to treat women as less than, say, a cucumber, then it is their Allah given right to do so. I kind of like their notion of "responsibility". It is admirable. If she shows ANY skin then it is mandated she be raped and sodomized with all the blame upon her! The male is the victim in that case! And not to listen to another complaining word from her, their form of redress is to execute her. OH, what an admirable people and their way of life! You may ask, "What have they got to teach US"? (and they are dying to tell US so), so we ought to watch more of how they judge US. Thanks for the insight. |
