You're right Mink, they use his middle name to play to people's fear and they try to paint him as a Muslim. It's amazing how many people still think he is a Muslim even after the Rev. Wright scandal which proved he has attended a Christian church for the past 20 years. Goes to show how low the Repubs will stoop to smear someone with lies and fear mongering. Pathetic.

TNG, glad you took a look at Obama's blueprint. He never speaks as if he will be a "supreme ruler" as Bush often does. True, the executive branch is only one branch but, if I'm not mistaken, the Democrats control the House and the Senate. Come November the Democrats will rule by an even larger majority due to people's disgust with their Republican leaders. I am counting the days until this dark age in America comes to an end.

yeah, i'm glad i read barak hussein obama's manifesto too! it absolutely solidified all the beliefs i had of him. he is an extreme left, marxist-type liberal looney who is bent on ushering in the biggest nanny state gov't we have seen ever.

Mink, what do you mean that no one on the left is scared? The two main tactics the left uses are fear and division. Fear of guns, fear of responsibility, fear of tradition, fear of religion, fear of thought. Look at most of the legislation that the leftist capons introduce - just about all if it is based on fear rather than on any true need to do anything. Fine, you don't want guns? Don't buy any. Don't want mylar balloons? Don't buy them. But for gods sake, don't try to legislate your fears away and trample down everyone else.

And the polictics of division - X-Americans, Y-Americans. Youth v. elders; ethnic group v. ethnic group. And, along with the politics of division that the DNC and other "progressives" preach, is an underlying fear of all other groups.

Do you even know John McCain's middle name? It's Sidney.

We all know why Obama's middle name is used by the right-wing pundits and AM radio blowhards. They do it as fear mongering and a sad attempt at some kind of religious or ethnic slur. Their base is comprised of God fearing people, in the middle of the country and the rural South. People who might still be a little bit racist and ready to jump on the hate bandwagon at any given moment, even for something as silly as a person's name sounding like another person's name.

And if McCain's middle name was Hitler the left would probably make fun of it but they would not use it for blatant fear mongering purposes like the right does. Simply because people on the left are smart enough and tolerant enough not to fall for, or condone, those tactics.

The truth is, people are tired of the mudslinging that goes on in politics as usual. They're ready for a campaign that's based on honesty, integrity, and transparency. Barack Obama is their candidate and will not stoop to those sorts of tactics. We saw it in the debates with Clinton. She repeatedly took every opportunity to attack him and he just brushed it off and walked away with the victory. Old man McCain will try the same and find out that America wants change, pure and simple.

If the best the Right has got is fear mongering based on Barack's name or Pastor then come November we'll be looking at President Barack Hussein Obama.

Really.

How about his method of getting elected his first time. He won by deliberation, not votes. He sued everyone off the ballot. And this is the man who says he believes that "no voter should be disenfranchised." But, if I can sue you off the ballot, then it does not disenfranchise you.

Please. He is mired in the Chicago Political Machine and its underhanded tactics. He is a hypocrite.
