Just what is a "community organizer"
"Community organizing is most identified with the left-wing Chicago activist Saul Alinsky (1909-72), who pretty much defined the profession. In his classic book, Rules for Radicals, Alinsky wrote that a successful organizer should be “an abrasive agent to rub raw the resentments of the people of the community; to fan latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expressions.” Once such hostilities were “whipped up to a fighting pitch,” Alinsky continued, the organizer steered his group toward confrontation, in the form of picketing, demonstrating, and general hell-raising. At first, the organizer tackled small stuff, like demanding the repair of streetlights in a city park; later, when the group gained confidence, the organizer could take on bigger targets. But at all times, the organizer’s goal was not to lead his people anywhere, but to encourage them to take action on their own behalf."

A community organizer is an elitist DOUCHE that does stuff like THIS:
I love the reverence with which B.Hussein THROWS HIS ROSE , this is the memorial to DEAD PEOPLE. This is the holiest of holy places in NYC. He acts like a 7 year old boy with better things to do..... As John McCain attempts to BEND his broken body to PLACE Delicately the flower on the memorial..Old douchey McDoucheTard flings his rose onto the pile over JM..
No Lapel pin...no reverence
What a di** like a child who doesn't know how to act in public and is only concerned with himself.

This sexist pig should apologize first, but.....is the girl above wearing a bra?. No, wait, it CAN'T be a sexists question. The Democrats are putting her (it?) out there. So it has already been vetted to death. And should I "donate" the money then get a "free" t-shirt? That IS the way Obama will have our economy going, and it IS called "progressive". But that doesn't answer my first question.

to borrow some words from the prophet kanye west......maybe "barak just doesn't care about black people."

Interesting: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Association_of_Community_Organizations_for_Reform_NowEspecially the last section about ACORN turning in fraudulent voter registration forms. Wasn't Barry a lawyer for ACORN for a while, and hasn't ACORN made some sizeable contributions to his campaign? ((NOTE: I am NOT saying or suggesting that he had anything to do with the fraudulent registration forms))

BTW, where is the separation of church and state that the progressives have been railing about for years? Suddenly, you bring Christ into a political argument over Obama's qualifications? There is never a time not to bring The Man into the conversation. It's just that folks get SO excited usually screaming starts thus increasing signal:noise.

Len, I'm not sure if you are being serious or not, still getting a feel for your style. Gaff was being a bit sarcastic I think, since some of the resident leftists here are quite adamant that there be no hint of Christianity connected with any State activity, building, or official. Yet they have no problem with the State supporting samanist, animist, or various sorts of eastern mysticism/spiritualism. The same ones who would protest having Billy Graham being allowed to give a talk at a state run university would be among the first to support a leader of an eastern relgion giving a talk at the same university. So much for the lefts support of the equal protection clauses, and a true separation that they claim to support.
Oh, you have your ratio backwards. From the way you phrased it, it should be noise:signal.

Dragging this topic, kicking and screaming, back on track..... More and more information is coming out about Obama's time as a "community organizer" in Chicago. Here's an interesting video from someone who used to live in one of the housing projects that Obama "helped." According to the author, "Grove Parc received TWENTY years of Obama's attention. The streets should be paved in gold, right?" Yeah, right, like New Orleans, another bastion of liberal thought.

Lots more pictures of Grove Parc, Obama's shining accomplishment, here. Or, look up E. 61st St @ S. Cottage Grove Ave, Chicago, IL in Google Earth, where the aerial photo is much better, allowing you to zoom in and see the extent of deterioration of the roofs and surroundings. Too bad Google Earth won't let you peek inside the buildings to see the extent of the deterioration there. Yes, Obama has a lot to be proud of here.

The American Thinker has a series of three articles that discuss Obama's experiences as a "community organizer" and, later, as a state senator. The link takes you to the third article, from which you can access the first two. David Freddoso explores this period of Obama's live extensively in his book, The Case Against Barack Obama, recommended reading. Oh, yes, Obama has a lot to be proud of here. Isn't it interesting that the Senator's "truthiness" website StopTheSmears.com does not address any of these issues?
