Thanks! We are seeing more and more stories about honest citizens effectively using firearms for self defense. Shop keepers too. Here is one real tear jerker: www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/01/04/mom-kills-intruder_n_1183336.htmlShe is 18, has a 3 month old, her husband died on Christmas day, she is broke from the funeral costs, and on New Years Eve she had to kill an intruder. And CBS ran a good piece about the huge surge of women buying guns and enjoying the shooting sports. NBC is sponsoring the New Products section of the SHOT Show. Seems like someone in big corporate media finally woke up and looked at the real world, and saw that what they have been pushing for decades is a pack of lies.

I did see that story, how sad! Poor young woman has had to endure more in her short life than most, and good for her to take care of herself, and her baby. What got to me is she had recognized one of the men because he had been stalking her. Sicko!

The surviving thug is saying that they were only after pain killers. www.nydailynews.com/news/national/men-broke-okla-mom-home-painkillers-prosecutors-article-1.1002033 The two men who broke into a young widow's home in Blanchard, Okla., on New Year's Eve were looking for painkillers, prosecutors said on Thursday, as they considered charges for the one man who survived the home invasion.
The other would-be home invader, Justin Martin, was shot and killed by Sarah McKinley, a single mom who was home alone with her young son.
McKinley’s husband died of lung cancer on Christmas Day.
She was sitting at home when the two men tried to break in. She called 911 and, in a terrified voice, asked the emergency operator whether she was allowed to shoot them.
“I can’t tell you that you can do that, but you do what you have to do to protect your baby,” the dispatcher told her, according to ABC News.
When the 24-year-old Martin kicked his way through the door brandishing a 12-inch knife, McKinley shot him.
Police later arrested his accomplice, Dustin Stewart, 29.
McKinley told The Oklahoman that Martin had knocked on her front door on Dec. 29, the day she buried her husband, and acted strangely. He left once she saw he had company.
Police have since cleared her of any wrongdoing.
“Our initial review of the case doesn’t indicate she violated the law in any way,” Assistant District Attorney James Walters told The Oklahoman newspaper.
Stewart told investigators that Martin was addicted to painkillers, and suspected McKinley had some in the house because of her late husband’s illness, the newspaper reported.
Now Stewart is facing murder charges in the case under Oklahoma law, even though he never fired the fatal shot, News 9 reported. He is currently free on bail.
“It's unfortunate for . . . seems a little serious . . . but that’s the rule," Blanchard resident Dean Oxley told the TV station. “You got to play by the game.”
McKinley said she’s still terrified - five days later.
“It’s a help when people say I did the right thing,” she told the TV station. “Of course, you question it, and you wonder if you could have done something different.”Un...huh....riiiiigggght.. And they have some ocean front property to see there too. Good news is that the Blanchard PD has set up a fund to help her out" A fund has been established in Sarah McKinley's name. Donations will be accepted at the Chickasha Bank and Trust, located at 1525 N. Council Road in Blanchard. Donations can also be mailed to the same bank at P.O. Not to overstate the obvious, but bullets have long been used for a permanent reduction of pain. Apply them to any thing (two legged or four legged) that is a pain to you. Administer two. If the pain isn't killed immediately, apply more until the pain absolutely stops. That pain won't come back, if you have administered a sufficient dose. One of my sons administered 8 bullets and got rid of two pains permanently. The third was sent to prison for 8 years for being a pain. (Proof that you don't have to outrun the bear, just outrun your friends.) Ammunition, the REAL gold you should be collecting!
