Thank you two, Danceswithdogs and joecocker for the responses here. It is good to have some dialog here again.....
However, neither one of you sound convinced of any GOP hopeful but have instead bashed President Obama. I'm still waiting.

Ah, Mink. I have never ceased to "bash Obama". He has done more to harm this country in his short stint in office than can be remedied in one term of a GOOD President. That is what's so sad. It's become more clear each day, so at this point I am willing to support almost ANYONE that is NOT Obama. Whether Romney is that person, I can't really say. But one thing is certain, Romney is not an unknown and untested quantity as Obama was. Romney does have a darn good sense of what it takes to run a business and make it profitable. Right now, thanks to Obama, that is what we need and I think most Americans feel the same. Phony "hope" is not what we need. Looking at Romney's abilities to make successful business decisions gives us hope that once again we can look forward to letting America get back to work rather than sit on our butts waiting for food stamps and "Obama Checks". I am all for stopping the bleeding....the throwing of BILLIONS of dollars at "green" companies that go belly-up within MONTHS of gettting those tax dollars. No vetting, no proof of stability and in fact handing over those billions in the face of saner heads saying to wait, this company is not going to make it even with that money. But, do to wanting to repay favors (campaign contributions) Obama handed over that money anyway, time after time, to failing company after company. That money will NEVER come back, and no one even knows where it went as no one is being held accountable. Doesn't that make you sick, Mink? It sure does bother the rest of us. That money could have been used much more wisely in ACTUAL job creation, not handed over to cronies and contributors.

Hate to say it, but any clump of protoplasm will do a much better job than this guy has. He was woefully unprepared, as this was his first executive position, and never should have been elected. The only reason he was elected is that he is half black, and racists voted for his skin color. While not excited about Mint, he's about ten thousand times more qualified than O.

Sadly, this time around there will be a great many (the outright racists, the clueless, the ignorant, the dead, cartoon characters, illegal aliens, outright socialists/communists,and other ignorant fools without the ability to think for themselves) who will vote for the fool again. God help us.

LOL, oh jeepers! Come on now, name-calling here does not make a GOP hopeful/s, hopeful... Well, Mink....I have to call them as they are. When dead people, Disney characters, illegal aliens, and clueless (ever watch man on the street interviews with "voters" who can't even answer the most basic questions about our government or current affairs....yes, I call them ignorant and clueless voters. As for the terms Socialist and Communists...those are terms Obama is very familiar with and indeed has braced throughout his life. I did not intend to offend anyone, but I did not "name call". But these are the types of people who voted Obama into office without a clue as to who he is, so I am hoping that won't happen again.

But these are the types of people who voted Obama into office without a clue as to who he is, so I am hoping that won't happen again. Ok, since it seems my post may have offended someone, I will try to clarify the words I used in it. Also, to clarify, I did aim ANY of these terms at ANYONE on this forum. I simply have been more observant since the 2008 campaign and have made my statement based on those observations....not out of hostility. When I stated "the types of people who voted for Obama" are/were "without a clue as to who he is", that is a statement of fact. When people who admit they voted for Obama are asked to explain why they did so, most cannot tell you anything other than they wanted to see the "first black president" (thus the "racist" comment", or they thought their bills would be paid with "Obama checks", with no clue about where the money would come from ("Obama has a stash"), or "he's gonna change everything" (but no idea what that change would involve), thus "clueless" When (mostly young voters/non-voters) on the street or on college campuses are asked very basic questions about current and past government affairs/positons/presidents/Congress/Senate etc....they are either silent with mouth hanging open or give really, really stupid responses....thus "ignorant"....as in without knowledge or training;lacking information;uninformed;unaware. "illegal alien".....in the country illegally. "dead"....self explanatory. Dead people's names showing up on voter registrations. "Disney characters"....again, self explanatory....again, showing up on voter registrations. "racists".....using the color/race of individuals as a bludgeon/tool to try to put one race as superior over another. (example: Al Sharpton, et al) Socialist/Communist- ideologies admitted to by many of Obama's associates and followers. So, to reiterate: I made a statement of my opinion, based on my personal observations over the past 4 years. If someone has an issue/opposite opinion about that, then fine. That's what debate is all about. However, please do not accuse me of "name calling". That is your opinion, not a fact. I, at one point, was as clueless and ignorant of political agendas as some of those Obama voters. But, I figured I could either remain ignorant and clueless, thus putting myself in that catagory willingly....OR I could start learning what was going on in the REAL world and thus speak with some knowledge rather than argue as a stupid (person who does not want to learn) person and prove to the world that's what I was. I chose to learn.

One more thing....I certainly do not put the clueless, ignorant and racists voters in one party. All political parties share this blight. I simply put the most recent election into that context. In my opinion. Speaking of "clueless"....I have friend that phoned me and was all excited about participating in an "occupy" mob in front of her own bank! When I asked her why, she really could not say. She was just all hyped about "being a part of 'something'". I think she had too much pot the night before.

Dances, the GOP hopefuls? What's your opinion? Sadly, I am not excited about Romney.....can't really pinpoint why. Maybe it's because he has made some decisions in the past, then changed his mind later for what appears to be political expediency...not that they ALL don't do that, but I hate to see a Conservative try to dance around rather than stick to his guns. But, at this point, I can only hope that Romney will replace Obama and do a decent job in restoring the economy and our standing in the world. One can always hope, right?

I suppose so Dances and thanks for your honest opinion. Romney has some big issues (as does Pres. Obama).
In my case, I simply can't trust one more Republican, sigh.
