I doubt you will get many takers, JMO. Still, it's a wonder there really are still people blinded and fooled by politicians.
I expect there have been a few honest souls who went into politics with high ideals and imagining they could "fix" things or make things better. But, once they get into office, they find they cannot buck the system, or they themselves become corrupted by the power and become just as slimy as the rest of the pond.

Danceswithdogs, it's nice to see you here as well! It may appear to some the Bain issue has been swept under the rug, so to speak, but that is Romney's doing. Curious people want to know what he is hiding and why. I see no GOP hopefuls again this time around. I think their best chance this time is another botched election with the money from the uber rich, who's interest is at stake. Would it be better if Romney brought out his income taxes for the last ten years? What if he asked Obama to show us his college records then I see this as a OK exchange of personal stuff. So what don't you like about Ronmey's Bain's history. |

It's not just his college records that are "sealed", Joe. It's his college papers/thesis', his records as an attorney, his social security card (s)/records...basically all of his "life" is hidden, sealed or made up-such as his "autobiographies" which are more about a fictional, composit character and not the real Barry Sotero.

THAT is why I am totally disenchanted with recent politicians, they spin the hell out of their shining attributes, cover up the negative, and sadly sometimes all that shine creates a blind spot for the rest of us. My new motto is going to be: don't believe a word from any politician, and if they happen to do something admirable be pleasantly surprised. |

President Obama is not the focus here on this thread.... he is not a GOP hopeful.
I'd like to see what supporters of the GOP hopeful/s have to say and not what they've been complaining about for years of the current president....and BTW, how some forget what Pres. Obama inherited from the last GOP in charge, but that's another story......sigh.
Who are the GOP hopefuls and why?
