Interesting.... so McCain says he wants to go back to Washington and do the job the citizens of his state elected him to in the teeth of a major financial crisis that (according to the left) imperils our economic well being. Sounds kind of like "leadership" to me. Amazing just how deeply into identity politics the attack dogs of the left are willing to go. 40 days from the election he can't take 2 hours out of his evening to debate Obama and give voters a glimpse of how their candidate reacts under pressure? I think that is much more important at this point in time.

OK, we'll debate as soon as I keep the walls from tumbling down. Sincerely, Samson.

They should be able to keep the campaigns running, go to Capitol Hill, if needed and debate this Friday.......now that's American!

Barry:" I'll be campaigning during this crisis-call my people if you really need me to calm the waters".
Doing the job for which you are already being paid, before your interview for the job you want...now THAT'S American!

Apparantly Mccain doesn't think he's up to the pressure at hand.
The pressure of keeping the VP choice in a bubble and with no answers of his own for the current economy dilemma, the obvious answer is to postpone the campaign until further notice.
That serves two purposes.

When Mac emerges triumphant from saving the U.S. Economy, he'll look like a hero & a pro, and B.H.O. will look like the clutching, climbing rank amateur he is.

And the divorce, the cursing, the temper, the ......... Weak, Your Minkness, weak.
Oh, and why are we learning ZERO about B.H.O.'s Harvard Law Review tenure; ACORN work: Chicago thug organizing; political launch at Bill Ayers' house; etc.; etc.?

I don't know how you consider the Keating Five incident weak when we are in such an economic dilemma? We are talking about Mccain in this thread remember? What is he afraid of, by sequestering his VP and by halting or weaving around the upcoming debate to discuss the economy?

The candidates need to show up for the debates as scheduled, end of story! If I were an employer and the applicant failed to show...
