Zacky Farms files for bankruptcy out of Fresno. It's the cost of corn between the drought and corn used as bio fuel.

F&G should forget the "permits" for hunting wild turkey and let people have at 'em. F&G is responsible for turning them loose and controlling the hunting to the point the turkeys have become pests. (another F&G blunder according to their custom)
Shoot 'em and have a Happy Turkey Day. Of course, the wild ones are kind of scrawny and tough, but you can find ways to cook them to make them palatable.

The only good part of wild turkey is the 100 proof. Now with FG letting those non native birds loose only thing worth eating is it's breast meat.

I hate when a journalist only notes one portion of a story, the easy one. Blame the bankruptcy on the price of feed. But, forget to note the tens of millions Zacky Farms will have to spend over the next two years to put each chicken in a large cage, instead of current conditions. The cost alone will bankrupt many chicken farmers in California—this is the first.
Add to that the cost of water and energy due to AB 32 regulations and those alone will bankrupt farmers. Add the cost of feed, in part due to environmental rules like AB 32, and you have a perfect storm for a Depression and the collapse of agriculture and ranching in California.
This is not about nature, it is about out of control government. Watch the cost of chicken, and beef, to skyrocket—you can thank Arnold and Jerry for your poor economic condition.
