How many American lives is it worth to you? And, by the way, the Republican party is not one of caring for the well being of humans around the world. One of the first things Bush did when he became President was to cut funding to fight the spread of AIDS in Africa through education and medical assistance. That still haunts me as one of the most cold hearted things he's done. You do not know what you are talking about, or you are a liar. I quote: Bush Has Quietly Tripled Aid to AfricaNow, repeat that falsehood again.

Please tell us: Who is going to "invade" us?? Were we "invaded" while Clinton or any other Democrat was in power? Just because Clinton wouldn't start a PREEMPTIVE war doesn't mean he was a coward, it just means he was smart.

You're obviously in denial. First of all, I can't believe you're going to use Bush's approval rating following 9/11 as evidence that he was well liked! The country was scared. They were turning to their President to protect them. Clinton, or Gore for that matter, would have enjoyed the same high rating. And Bush sure lost it quick! When America realized how incompetent he is it dropped to a low of 28%. 28%! And blaming Clinton for 9/11 is foolish. He wasn't the one with a memo on his desk titled "Bin Laden determined to attack inside the U.S." that detailed how Osama bin Laden might use civilian airplanes to carry out terror attacks on U.S. soil. The blame rests squarely on the Bush administration. Maybe if he wasn't on vacation so often (Bush is on pace to have spent 499 days on vacation during his two terms, beating the previous record holder Ronald Reagan, who tallied 436 days in his two terms) he would have paid more attention to the looming threat. Then explain why Bin Laden claimed that the pull out from Somalia proved that Americans did not have what it takes for a protracted battle, and then explain the exponential increase in terrorism after that event. Or did you just happen to conveniently forget that event. Remember Clinton getting all red faced when the father of one of the Black Hawk Down soldiers refused to shake his hand on live television. Remember what that father said? I certainly do, why don't you look it up, because it goes right to the heart of the kind of person he is, and the kind of party you support.

Nope. Your article just goes to prove my point again. That is simply Bush appeasing his big Pharma lobbyists while masquerading it as a humanitarian accomplishment.
Here's the real story:
" Critics charged that the administration's new FDA program appeared designed to give U.S. and western pharmaceutical companies a leg up on their competitors in developing countries whose generic drugs generally cost far less than their brand-name equivalents manufactured by "Big Pharma."
At stake is hundreds of millions of dollars that are being allocated by the administration under its five-year, US$15-billion President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) to procure life-preserving anti-AIDS drugs for 14 African and Caribbean nations that are among the worst-affected by the global AIDS epidemic. AIDS is currently killing about three million people a year, or 8,000 - of whom about 6,000 are Africans - each day.
Public-health agencies and activists argue that the fastest, cheapest, and most efficient way to provide these drugs is buying fixed-dose combination (FDC) drugs, which combine drugs from multiple sources into single pills that are taken twice daily, produced by generic manufacturers in India, Brazil, and other developing countries, and which currently cost as little as $140 per person per year, or about one-fifth the cost of the same combination of drugs, which currently must be taken in the form of six pills a day, that is manufactured by brand-name companies.
Geneva-based WHO, which has its own review process to determine the safety and effectiveness of medicines, has already approved a number of FDCs produced by generic manufacturers, and activists say that assessment should be good enough for the U.S. government. "

Hey how about the time Billy had OBL Dead to Rights...but couldn't be bothered as he was trying to make par? Actually, we were attacked like four or five times under Clinton. World Trade Center, USS Cole, 19 American servicemen killed when the Khobar Towers, in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, was bombed, and our embassies in both Kenya and Tanzania. Yet, terrorism was never a big issue for his administration.

Just because Clinton wouldn't start a PREEMPTIVE war doesn't mean he was a coward, it just means he was smart. Yes, we were, by the same terrorist organizations. And, an act of war was committed against us under his watch on four separate occasions. First Twin Towers Bombing, USS Cole Bombing, and the Bombing of our Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. And what did Billy Jeff do? Received felatio under his desk.

Which is of course why it was done quietly, without the knowledge of the media or public. So he could masquerade as a humanitarian. You are fond of reading in things that do not exist.
