The problem with that reasoning is a buttload of case law in California, in both the state and federal levels, holding that there is no RKBA in the state constitution. Yes, I know exactly what our state constitution says and ultimately, combined with an incorporated Heller that will cause a good number of our draconian laws to fall.
But we're going to have to probably see the Chicago case go to the Supremes and buttress Heller, unless the suit against the San Francisco Housing Authority gets there first, then have a whole new round of litigation before we get at least some of what we want.

I like the way that they said in the decision that Justice Stevens was dead wrong, about the collective nature of the right. I am liking what I am reading. It is about time we had some type of real decision where this right is concerned.
