Well, perhaps if the discussion points from the left side of the aisle were elevated beyond "Bush lied, people died" or "no blood for oil" there would be more of a intellectually respectable series of responses.
I won't hold my breath for that, though.
Again; the evidence?
Oh, it was BHO that numbered the states at 58.
Prob'ly hadn't had time to finish his waffle yet.

"McCain delivered a speech on June 3rd, the night Obama was announced winner of the Democratic primary. To me, McCain appears too old, out of touch, and hollow. What do you make of his speech? Do you think he's the candidate of change that he claims? Or is his campaign already running on empty?"
This is the statement that began this thread. I was looking to get into McCain's policies and how they offer change from Bush's policies, as he claimed in his speech. My request was met with more Obama bashing (like the Obama thread wasn't enough!?) and one comment that "Well, McCain isn't the "real" conservative choice" or something like that.
So I'll ask again: How are McCain's policies different from Bush's (he claims he's a candidate of "change") and how will he solve the multitude of problems our country is currently experiencing?

The question should be; How are BHO's policies different from JSM's?
Immigration; same.
Gitmo; same.
Anthropogenic global warming; same.
For conservatives, the table is empty.

If they're basically the same, then voting for Obama would be wise since he has attracted so many non-political people to politics. He has a way of bringing people together and getting the whole country involved. Plus, it sends a message to the world that we're serious about changing our course after the Bush debacle.

The Bush debacle, what a joke. Yeah, were going to change our course. The next time a terrorist organization attacks American's, we will tuck tail and run. Never again will come to mean, never again after this latest event. And of course it means you also get to keep less of what you earn, since it really belongs to the government anyway.
The only thing that liberal policies have ever done was to increase the Democrat voting block, by taking from the haves and giving to the have nots, as well as importing as many have nots as possible, legally and illegally.

McCain may not be able to compete with Obama as far as speech-giving goes, but he sure will beat the heck out of W and the Republicans won't have to cringe anymore. I agree that McCain is a far better speaker then Bush. And Obama may even be a better speech giver. But, content is what is most important. And in that area, there is more meat with McCain, and mostly bone with Obama.

Yes, a terrorist organization attacked us, but it was NOT Iraq, nor did it have anything to do with Iraq. In fact, Al-Quada and Saddam disliked each other. We are not hated by the world for going into Afghanistan. The world hates us for going into Iraq, and as long as we're there they will continue to hate us. And it seems to me that both Bush and McCain have the same stance on illegal immigration that Obama has. Do you see any differences??

McCain voted 95% in lockstep with Bush last year. I ask again, where is his "change"??

Again if you could just provide REAL LIFE VERIFIABLE EVIDENCE of their "dislike" for one another. As PREVIOUSLY STATED SADDAM LOVED ALL TERRORISTS EQUALLY to the TUNE OF 25K HE DID NOT CARE "WHO'S" TERROR GROUP TO WHICH YOU BELONGED he paid out the same. www.husseinandterror.com/Saunterelle conversing with you has become a hysterical joke, as you dodge and duck. Only answering where you feel your masters have left you a valid sound byte. And you keep going back to the tired and I mean tired.."Saddam didn't like Al Qaeda" ..I imagine you have taken this quote DIRECTLY from old "There are no US Forces in Iraq" Baghdad Bob..

Amazing but true.
Al Queda was in every nation in the Middle East EXCEPT Iraq.
How stupid do you think we are?

The staff report said that bin Laden "explored possible cooperation with Iraq" while in Sudan through 1996, but that "Iraq apparently never responded" to a bin Laden request for help in 1994. The commission cited reports of contacts between Iraq and al Qaeda after bin Laden went to Afghanistan in 1996, adding, "but they do not appear to have resulted in a collaborative relationship. Two senior bin Laden associates have adamantly denied that any ties existed between al Qaeda and Iraq. SO NOW Bin Ladens senior associates are where you get your FACTS from? With words like "Do Not APPEAR" "Apparently never responded". Again do YOU SERIOUSLY read this stuff? I can turn ANY eye I'd like since you have provided ZERO VERIFIABLE EVIDENCE. You provide ZERO backup for your rubbish spewed forth. You can turn a blind eye if you like but the evidence is right in front of your face! www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/003/378fmxyz.aspwww.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=35172www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1986706/posts
