No, they would have made sure she was a real Canadian, with the accent. That is a racist statement, eh. Not at all. FOX news is FAUX news, therefore she was an American who portrayed a Canadian.

Earlier I posted that I worked with them. They have cool accents. A French accent, right? Did you know that Nova Scotia means new Scotland? They don't have French accents, but the people in Quebec do. And the Canadians on the West Coast have a totally different accent, more American West. You are engaging in stereotyping, which is a form of bigotry. Unless you have spoken to a Canadian, you won't know what I mean, but their accent is very distinctive. You assume people from Canada are French? Well, some are and some are from Germany.

So how many bombs fell on your house since our 9/11 response? Five, ten, twenty or more? How many terrorist attacks have occurred on our soil since 9/11? One, two, four or more? Why don't you check the numbers in the previous Democrat Administration. We had more then twice the number of terrorist attacks on our soil under that administration. So tell me, why won't you admit that G.W. Bush kept this country safe? Because you are a propagandist Democrat, that's why. Bush knew the attack was coming on 9/11 and he let it happen, so we really shouldn't have had one attack on his watch, period! He also escorted the Bin Ladens out of the country while the rest of the country was on "lockdown". Wow... This theory falls under the tin foil hat category... unless one has proof to back it up. Sorry Mink, I like you and respect your views... but this post is hard to believe (unless you can prove this conspiracy theory).

It is well-know that when Bush came into office, Pres. Clinton had to brief Bush of any national security issue which Bin Laden was, with the intent to do major damage. Bush was well aware of outside sources as well, for instance the Phillipine govt. who had caught terrorists staying in a hotel and they retrieved plans of the terrorists. While the country was ordered to have no airplanes flying after the attacks, this is when the Bin Laden family that was here in the US at the time, were flown out. google it

Are there any legit news sources that prove Bush knew 911 was going down as it happened, did nothing about it, and then HELPED Laden's escape? Because if it is true, this is possibly a capital offense (treason) if he were to be convicted. At the very least, it would have warranted an immediate impeachment.

Well, some are and some are from Germany. my head hurts more and more with each of your posts that i read. shall i call the pharmacy and phone in your next refill, mink? geez! unlike you and santurelle, i'm sure that most of the members here actually have spoken to more than one or two canadians. i'm sure that most of us have also ventured beyond the sacred bay area to experience first hand the rest of the world and know a little bit more about it than you and santurelle. you're statements regarding canadians spotlight your ignorance of the issue.

I'm a little confused on the accent thing. 7 out of 10 Canadians I know sound like typically West Coast USA (CA, OR, WA). Do they have several dialects like we do? In other words, are there parts of Canada that are very distinctive like our deep south?

That is a good question in regards to regional accesnts like we have, but here is the closest that I can explain. When they say the word "about" or any word with the "ow" sound, it is exagerated, if that makes sense. This is said without extra use of the muscles around the mouth. The Canadians that I worked with came from a company that employed Canadians from different areas of Canada and they merged with our company, so there were many and they all seemed to have this 'accent'. It wasn't noticable right away, but if you listen carefully, you start hearing more.

The only ones I easily pick up are deep South (which I like), and Northeast (which I'm not that fond of).
