Nope it's a soundbyte.
Just like the "messiah" unfounded un tought out jibberish.
" If America wants to remain a superpower in the foreseeable future, we must recognize that our world is becoming increasingly globalized."
"Messiah" jibberish 100%.
Explain, SUPERPOWER and how we will lose that status. Explain "Forseeable Future" and what you consider that to be. Explain "Recognize" and what that means to you.
otherwise you are just B. Hussein all over again..
We need "Change"....
Right.....

The point is only on FOX would anyone give Bush credit ....for anything.
Mink, I think that's exactly the point that we have been making when we criticize the Main Stream Media. In their fervor to undermine the Republican president, the media will print anything negative about him, and very little that is negative about the Democrats. If we didn't have the Internet, especially YouTube, we might not have learned about many things, like the 2004 House hearing on Fannie Mae where Maxine Waters turned it into a racial witchhunt against Franklin Raines. I don't remember reading anything about that in the MSM at the time. I especially don't remember reading anything about that as the media falls all over itself trying to explain how we got here. Go ahead and try to discredit this woman, just like you have been trying to discredit Joe the Plumber, and just like you tried to discredit the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth. Rather than respond to the issues this woman raises, you try to impeach her, just like any good defense attorney would do.

The EU is failing?? Is that why the value of their currency is twice that of ours?
Once again, Saunterelle, you show that you do not have a grasp of the facts. If you look at current currency values, you will see that the Euro is down to about $1.27. It was up to about $1.50. Similarly, the British Pound came down from almost $2.00 to $1.59. The currency exchange rates do not reflect any one country's "feelings" toward America, but rather a cold calculation of what one currency is worth in terms of another. Given that oil is priced in dollars around the world, that kinda makes ours the leading currency. Unless, of course, a bad actor like George Soros decides to short the dollar just to prove that he can influence the market.

if america wants to remain a superpower we must continue to be different. we must continue to lead the rest of the world. we must continue to be that beacon of light and hope to people who live under tyranny and oppression. we must continue to stand out from the crowd, not blend in with it. that's how we remain a superpower.

Republicans don't care for criticism which is why they feel it so bad when it is against them. If you listen carefully, you will hear just as much criticism about Dems, if not more. We can accept it and we get frustrated with our reps. Republicans on the other hand have a hard time swallowing the truth. It is easier to claim victim as opposed to accepting responsibility. Regarding Fannie/Freddie, did you see Greenspan and his cohorts admit they made mistakes or misjudged the lack of regulation. They don't hold Fannie/Freddie to blame totally for this mess as Republicans have been screaming about. This was just yesterday.

Our best bet is to get along.

Now that Greenspan is out of office, isn't it convenient that Henry Waxman got him to fall on his sword. Waxman should have called Barney Frank, Chris Dodd or Maxine Waters to testify about their positions stated for the record at the 2004 hearing on the report of the Fannnie/Freddie regulators.Waxman can now claim that the case is closed, it's all Greenspan's fault, and Frank and Dodd avoid any responsiblity. Or, maybe we could talk about Obama's letter to the Treasury Secretary regarding Obama's insights into the subprime mortgage market. If Obama felt so strongly about the issue, why did he never dare to go up against the Democrat leadership and try to do something about it before it exploded? But, you never responded to my earlier claim, that Democrats like you were focusing on personal attacks against Joe the Plumber and this Canadian woman, rather than confronting the issues they have raised.

Gaff, I have to keep reminding you - progressivism is all about FEELING, not fact. If they address the issues they would have to deal with facts.

Speaking of dealing with facts. Gaffney, I have acknowledged that Frank and Dodd carry a hugh responsibility, but Greenspan admitted that Frannie/Freddie weren't theonly or only cause of the crisis and yet you ignored that fact and start pointing at Dems.
