LOL Wow, you really nailed it, Joe! What an incredible waste of time put on by people who live in a dream world! It used to be the Health and Harmony Festival. Held at the Fairgrounds, Mink. A playground for hippies, new agers, various alternative lifestylers. Pretty much take all the causes from all the bumper stickers in Sebastopol and give them a booth from which to pedal their POV. Throw in clouds of pot smoke, and lots of poorly made hand crafts and 'folk art.' Yes, I knew what to expect. And I was not surprised or shocked by any of it - including the intolerance and vitriol of the Oh so tolerant, diverse, inclusive, and enlightened new agers, leftists, and others who were there to 'celebrate' their being in harmony with everyone and everything. And, to answer the question in your mind, no, I wasn't being in-your-face or judgemental. Kept pretty quiet, mostly shaking my head and saying No thank you. The problems came when I declined to take leaflets from people who were supporting causes or views I disagreed with. Then I instantly became close minded, bigoted, intolerant, fascist, red neck, racist, etc. etc. etc. through the entire litany of leftist hate speech.

check this for New Age: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Ageif the link doesn't work, just try wiki or google it. Basically its a feel good about yourself, make it up as you go along false spirtuality. I kind of dabbled in it until I saw how devoid of content and meaning it really was. Amen, Joe. You really nailed that, too. "My truth" and "your truth" propped up instead of "THE truth". Arrogant self-obsessed individuals who call their opinions "their truth". LOL Sonoma County has quite a few of them, but not as many as I once thought. A life-long SC resident, born and raised here, it's been refreshing to learn that the freaks and weirdos really only make up about 5% of the SC population. They're just a very vocal 5% who have gotten active in local politics, so it seems like there are more of them than there are. Truth is, there are more normal people than freaks and weirdos here in Sonoma County.
