Or, does the left get to stay mired in the past for the next two decades, moaning and wailing about the 'rigged' elections. (look at how many in the media now admit that they were doing all they could to make Barry look good and Sen. McCain look bad, talk about rigging and manipulation).

Seriously, it is absolutely amazing to me how you can be so hypocritical and so obtusae and all in the same three sentences. Maybe you might have noticed Article II, Section 2, Clause 1 of the Constitution of the United States... that part about the power of the Executive Branch. The very first power enumerated is commander in chief. That makes the pre-eminent duty of the president, above and beyond anything else, the security of the nation from attack. George W. Bush, for all of his faults real or imagined, has successfully led a war on Islamic inspired terrorism that has kept us from being attacked again on our own soil since September 11th, 2001. And that in spite of inheriting a weakened economy from his predecessor, having the economy tank deeply immediately post 9/11, and dealing with a never ending stream of baseless invective and insult from the likes of you, he still managed to preside over economic growth across 24 of the past 25 quarters. Does that make his entire presidency a success; no. But it sure as hell is a fine valedictory. And for you to simply dismiss it out of hand in the throes of your raging case of Bush Derangement Syndrome shows just how far out of touch with reality the progressive left here in SoCo must be. |

You honestly believe that Bush's war on Iraq is the reason we haven't been attacked? Obviously the terrorists don't need to attack us again, 9/11 was enough to throw us off our axis. Bush's reaction has spurred a failed war and the downfall of our economy. For Christ sake, the Bush Administration couldn't even help our own citizens when they were in need after hurricane Katrina hit. Many died due to their incompetence.

you are an utter idiot. sorry, but sometimes the truth hurts. you are still clinging to a ridiculous ideology that believes president's are responsible for things they are not....... like hurricane's. so willing are you to lay blame at the president's feet but unwilling to lay any at the feet of those truly resposible (and those who assured the president that they had it all under control)..... like mayor ray "chocolate city" nagin and gov kathleen "i haven't got a clue what i'm doing here" blanco. we have been down this road before, santurelle and i, as well as others have explained time and time again the failures of citizens, city, parrish, and state gov't re: katrina. you still want to wallow in your bush derangement fantasyland. eschewing reality and embracing fantasy makes you an idiot.
when you come up with the balls to tell us of your adventures beyond the bay area (la la land) i may have a bit more respect for your national and world views. until then you shall remain idiot-in-chief who doesn't know jack shit about what goes on beyond the bay.
as far as easy grading goes.... if you want to keep score lets look at it this way:

If they were, Lincoln would be #43.
His contemporaries despised him, and the war he started that killed squillions of Americans.
I do judge them, and by the consequences of their actions.
To that end, Cahtah's actions will cast a shadow over our nation for many more decades.

I am happy to dig up articles if you'd like to learn more about it. wow, you're dumber than a stump. did you not pay any attention to anything other than political hacks during katrina? the finger of blame rests squarely on nagin, blanco, and others. a god damned hurricane killed people in new orleans (also some of the wonderful citizens of N.O. killed others). flood waters killed people there. the failure of the mayor to act and react properly killed people there. the failure of the governor to understand the nature of the problem killed people. the FEMA response DID NOT kill people. my brethren who swooped in (after the failure of local and state gov'ts) DID NOT kill people. they saved COUNTLESS lives. do a little research and get the real picture. you will hate the next 4 years because every damn thing that happens i will blame obama. i don't care if it is a tsunami in thailand, a snowstorm in nebraska, or a drip in my kitchen sink. it will all be obama's fault. btw...... when you come up with the balls to tell us of your adventures beyond the bay area (la la land) i may have a bit more respect for your national and world views. until then you shall remain idiot-in-chief who doesn't know jack shit about what goes on beyond the bay. |
