Sarah Palin's recent post turkey pardon interview with KTUU at a turkey farm. Unfortuante camera angle. Way to lose the vegetarian vote, LOL...
When asked by the cameraman if she wanted that as a backdrop she replied: "no worries." She's clueless.

i didn't think it would take long for mink or santurelle to post this.
i'm sure if that had been obama, hillary, reid, pelosi, etc. the camera would have been adjusted accordingly. no media agenda here. no, none at all. do they realize the election is over?

No, they don't. But, hell, they don't think the 2000 or 2004 elections are over either. Expect them to think Bush is running in 2012. they may drop that by 2016.

I couldn't watch that video all the way through. When I eat beef, fish/sushi, chicken, TURKEY, my brain wants to believe it always preexisted in a package at the store, and that it never had the ability to walk etc. Meat=food at store, end of story!

Never caught your own fish and cooked it right then and there? Oh, you are missing out. A nice little fire, a pot of coffee, some bacon frying while you clean the fresh caught fish. Then, a quick dredge in seasoned cornmeal, fry the fish up in the bacon grease that has rendered out, maybe have a few eggs to go with it. Good stuff. Or dove or quail cooked on sticks over your campfire. Corn roasted in the coals (skin back the husks, remove the silk, put on some black pepper, wrap with bacon, pull the husks back in place, and bury in the coals).

Ok, yes, in the past I'd caught, scaled/gutted a fish and cooked it over an open fire, but that was YEARS ago and now that I'm older I'm more sensitive I guess. It's the act of killing it that bothers me, but I love a good steak, prime rib etc.

I do hope you see both the irony of that and the similarity to what The Obama said - he would again vote against the surge, but he admits it is producing good results. I'm not really taking a dig at you. I know all too many people who will wolf down their steak, chops, and burgers all while railing against hunting and slaughter houses. Of course, Gen. Grant couldn't stand the sight of blood. Yet he threw men into battle like a Soviet political commisar in The Great Patriotic War.

If I had to personally kill an animal to have meat, I'd switch to beans and veggies. I don't have anything against hunters, I'm just not capable of going that route myself, provided there are alternatives (beans, veggies). Although I know that if ANYONE is hungry enough they would do what must be done to feed their family.

subdjoe, keeping Obama out of the equation... I have to play a subconscious mind game with myself when it comes to meat, it goes like this: Roast sounds great for dinner, go to store, buy, it cook it, eat it, and be happy. If for one minute I put a cute furry little face on it's ALL OVER!

Looks right tasty, JMO. Who couldn't eat something tender like that? Spit roasted in one piece. Plus the hide looks like it would make nice gloves.
