What?! Nobody here is in this category? LOL! Looks like we'd need to move out of state to be "rich."

He-he....I think the rich is a dying breed countrywide. Frankly, I heard the same JMO. Some people in other states wonder how we make it???!! We could be better off in another state, but then again our wages would go down too.

If you look at the data that MSN extracted from the Census Bureau's tables, it's hard to make a comparison here. They only picked major metropolitan areas, and it's hard to compare Sonoma County with SF.
The real median household income number for Sonoma County is $62k. We can all agree that that number is significantly skewed by the large number of illegal immigrants we have, which pull the numbers down for everyone else.

jgaffney, what do you think the median income is for Sonoma County? Probably for many it's still not quite enough to get ahead I would guess.

JMO, read my post immediately above yours. The median household income for Sonoma County for 2007 was $62k. I think the average family, with prudent financial habits, would do just fine with that. However, if the family is buying/leasing 2 newish cars, supporting 2-4 cell phones with full data plans, and carrying a full cable TV bill, they might find it a bit tough.

jgaffney, sorry I did read your post and I should've clarified by asking how much is the median income influenced by immigrant workers, and what do you think median would be minus their low wages?

We could be better off in another state, but then again our wages would go down too. So who will generate the jobs if there are no rich people, did you ever consider that? Without the rich, we have no country. Class warfare is not the answer, as the last 70 years have proven.
