You see, we know that the earth is warming, it cooled in the 90's when Mount Pinatubo erupted, and we have seen cooling trends lately. Glaciers are even growing on Mount Shasta.
The earth has been warming for some time, with a good 50% of the warming trend occurring during a period of when man made no industrial contribution to that trend. The other 50% occurred during the industrial age. Making the point of man made contributions disputable.
What thick headed alarmists, like yourself, fail to realize is that we have time to come up with alternatives and change our habits, and we are. We do not need to rush headlong into it, and we certainly do not need the government to help us. After all, there is not one endeavor that the government has not screwed up in one fashion or another. And they are all together to heavy handed in most cases, except for illegal immigration.

Obviously you haven't realized that climate change has sped up exponentially since humans have added to it. Exponential increases mean we don't have much time to come up wait and see. How much time do you think is necessary? There is reason to be alarmist given the facts at hand.

You're saying these aren't REAL SCIENTISTS?
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 2007 InterAcademy Council Joint science academies' statement 2008 Joint science academies’ statement 2007 Joint science academies’ statement 2005 Joint science academies’ statement 2001 International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences European Academy of Sciences and Arts Network of African Science Academies National Research Council (US) International Council for Science European Science Foundation American Association for the Advancement of Science Federation of American Scientists World Meteorological Organization American Meteorological Society Royal Meteorological Society (UK) Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society Canadian Foundation for Climate and Atmospheric Sciences International Union for Quaternary Research American Quaternary Association Stratigraphy Commission of the Geological Society of London International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics International Union of Geological Sciences European Geosciences Union Canadian Federation of Earth Sciences Geological Society of America American Geophysical Union American Astronomical Society American Institute of Physics American Physical Society American Chemical Society Engineers Australia (The Institution of Engineers Australia) Federal Climate Change Science Program (US) American Statistical Association
Now why don't you give us a list of reputable scientific organizations that your so called "real scientists" belong to. And nothing sponsored by the oil companies!

RIGHT becuase EVERY organization you listed gets no money from ANTI OIL Companies.......Companies who stand to make billions off of their SO CALLED "Solutions" to the HOAX of global warming.
That is where ALL their FUNDING comes from, should they tell the truth...they get NO FUNDING. It is their livlihood to continue the sham.
The ONLY monies in research are from companies who benefit from SAID research. Or do you not get that?
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 2007 InterAcademy Council Joint science academies' statement 2008 Joint science academies’ statement 2007 Joint science academies’ statement 2005 Joint science academies’ statement 2001 International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences European Academy of Sciences and Arts Network of African Science Academies National Research Council (US) International Council for Science European Science Foundation American Association for the Advancement of Science Federation of American Scientists World Meteorological Organization American Meteorological Society Royal Meteorological Society (UK) Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society Canadian Foundation for Climate and Atmospheric Sciences International Union for Quaternary Research American Quaternary Association Stratigraphy Commission of the Geological Society of London International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics International Union of Geological Sciences European Geosciences Union Canadian Federation of Earth Sciences Geological Society of America American Geophysical Union American Astronomical Society American Institute of Physics American Physical Society American Chemical Society Engineers Australia (The Institution of Engineers Australia) Federal Climate Change Science Program (US) American Statistical Association
There's the list I GUARANTEE YOU there are Scientists in EVERY ORGANIZATION LISTED BY YOU...With Dissenting opinion and research to back it up.

I laughed, yet again, on my way to work when I heard a PSA on the radio from California ISO telling us that today we needed to "flex our power". Don't do laundry during the day, turn the trigger on the air conditioner way up or don't use it at all... blah, blah, blah. This is all because there isn't enough power and we don't want to make more lest we create a bigger carbon footprint.
Here's a solution... let's build two or three nuclear power plants around the state and call it good. Clean, sustainable energy with no eeeeee-vil carbon released.
California's power issues are not because we use too much... it is because pols, socialist societal engineers and greenies have all gotten together to ensure that there is not enough generating capacity or energy output to satisfy demand on a hot day.
Mugger-poopers.

Thanks TNG, that's exactly what I was looking for. oh, you're very welcome but you may want to read it first. BD, i heard the same idiotic PSA this morning too. i remember it saying that if you must use your a/c you should set it between 78 and 82 degrees. hah! i laughed for a good five minutes. and yet we let more and more "immigrants in every day thus straining the system even more. brilliant, just brilliant!

How much time do you think is necessary? There is reason to be alarmist given the facts at hand. This is not true. How could it have sped up if half the warming occurred before humans began the industrial age? The rate has stayed the same.
