anonymousperson, I agree that illegals have cost this state (and others) in many ways and it needs to stop. Many have brought their barrio minded gangs here to set up drug dealing etc, and have drained our educational, medical, public safety and welfare systems by having anchor babies and housing additional family members that sneak up here later. It is very frustrating that many live off of us and our ancestors hard work that established our towns and homes. BUT, they are not responsible for every last crime, nor are they all BAD!
On the flip side: I do have compassion for people who suffer and want a better life, and I know many "illegals" are good, hard working people and I wish their was a way for them to create more opportunities in their own land, and/or come here legally. My compassion wanes however when they break the law to come here and then bankrupt our state to do it.
Try to find some balance before you implode, it's not healthy.

Being good does not excuse breaking the law. You can only become an illegal by breaking the law. The punishment for the crime of sneaking over the border should be ten years each time you are caught. The first time is a suspended sentence and deportation. Get caught again and then you serve your first ten along with the second ten. By doing it this way you are showing compassion for the illegal by giving them a suspended sentence and the teen looking to break into a job market that is being over run by illegals, fast food. |
