The PeeDee reported about the Mendocino county supervisor who admitted to his fellow supervisors that he carries a gun to their meetings. A fellow supervisor made this highly educated remark: The idea that someone would break into a board meeting and start shooting is even scarier, especially if no one else was armed. What do you want to bet that Mr. Colfax would be the first to congratulate his fellow supervisor if the gun was used to deter or kill a shooter in a board meeting? Can you tell that Mr. Colfax is not a gun owner?

Mr. Colfax has to be one of those tie dye characters who thinks that everything is beautiful and wonderful, believing in the supremacy and power of the government to protect him at any cost.
He is also, FWIW, the Mendocino County representative on the North Coast Railroad Authority... AKA, the "Gang That Gets Nothing Done". If his service on the Board of Supes is anything like how NCRA is managed, it's small wonder that supervisors are getting threatened from time to time.
