Remember when we only had a few channels on TV, Channel 2 being one of them? Today, Bob Wilkins, host of the infamous "Creature Features", broadcasting horror flicks on weekends, has died. Rest in peace Bob, thanks for all the nightmares!!

If you grew up in Northern California in the 60s / 70s,
you probably remember the late night horrorfest on
Friday and Saturdays, broadcast on KTVU 2 Oakland,
and hosted by the one and only Bob Wilkins
(he of the thick glasses and the huge cigars).
Bob was a true horror icon,
and he gave Night of the Living Dead
it's national TV premiere in the early 70s
(one of the scariest nights of my childhood!) .............
