after his politically charged accusations in an election year (2006), congressman john murtha owes several marines a public apology. murtha went on record in front of cameras to publicly decry that the marines were "revenge" killing innocent iraqi men, women, and children following an rpg attack which killed one of their fellow troopers. murtha, clearly attempting to curry favor with pelosi in hopes that she would bestow him with some lofty political position in "her" new congress, threw 8 marines under the bus without as much as a second thought. this is a horrible act for anyone but surely it is a disgusting action by a former marine himself. this man has lost all his credibility with anyone outside of the far left looney crowd and should be the subject of nothing but shame, shame, and more shame.
with the charges dropped against LTC Chassani, now all but one of the "haditha" marines have been exhonerated.
