TOP CITIES: 1. Denver 2. San Diego 3. Seattle 4. Orlando 5. Tampa 6. San Francisco 7. Phoenix 8. Portland 9. Sacramento 10. San Antonio
I spent the last 10 years working in SF and can honestly say I can't stand it. From it's liberal wacko politics to the fact that you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a homeless person or a panhandler to the smell of urine, vomit and feces rising from the sidewalks in the summer. Nope, don't understand why people want to live there. The weather? Maybe.
I have visited a few of the other cities on the list and actually liked Portland. My in-laws live in Sacramento and I can't say I like it much. Their neighborhood is very nice, but the city's never appealed to me much.
Of all the places on the list, I'd like to visit San Antonio.

For me the San Francisco traffic is horrendous. It's impossible to get anywhere or park most of the time in the city. And I don't get why people would want to live in streets so narrow, with houses stuck together. And I don't even like SF weather either. Too cold all the time (as much as I enjoy Denver, I couldn't live there for the cold weather either though). There are some nice neighborhoods in SF of course, and downtown (Financial district/ Ferry terminal) area is IMO nice, but overall I HATE having to go to the city. I've been to Houston and like the weather (I like humidity)-- never to San Antonio though. I agree that I'd like to visit San Antonio in the future.
