We rooting for the Cardinals just to root for the underdog. Commercials were so-so in my opinion. None really got my attention.
WTF was up with the Go-Daddy.com commercials? Geeze, we had young kids in the room.

Geeze, we had young kids in the room. You remembered the name and site, didn't you? Name recognition is what it is all about. I work in that industry, so the company is well known to me. I just thought their ads were a little over the top.

Ah! But still, it holds - you remember the ads and the name. Superbowl ads are often a huge percentage of the advertizing budget for companies. They do what they can to make them stand out. Be it making them silly, erotic, action packed adventures, whatever it takes to get people to remember the name. That is why ads that mention the competetors are kind of stupid, you are giving them free advertizing because if people remember the ad at all, they will remember both names.
Was one of the GoDaddy commercials the one staged in front of a committee and people talking about enhancing their image? (see how much impression it made on me)

Did anyone else notice that the Steelers only scored one TD in the second half? Arizona lost that game, the Steelers hung in for a win, but Arizona handed them the game in the last two minutes. After making a goal line stand for six downs and making the Steelers kick two field goals, of which only one counted. The blew it on the last set of downs.
Arizona just plain out played the Steelers in the second half.

(see how much impression it made on me) Guilty as charged. Yes GoDaddy had the one you mentioned and the two women in the shower. My 13 year old son blushed a bit at that one.

Hey, show him the Roz Russel bath scene from "The French Line" if you want to see him blush. You see about as much of Roz as you do of Danica, but the way you see it...(now there is a good example of advertizing, I havn't seen that movie for about 5 years but I remember the name of the movie, the scene, and the name of the actess.)

Never said kids don't JMO. But there, it was just a little bit of help while the youngster was still giving his all. No pats on the back for a half effort and then quitting.

"Kidding on the square" I think describes it, JMO. And, I really did catch that you were kidding.
