I think SF found a rather creative way to "shake it off", so to speak. Peace. And I think they found a rather creative way to do NOTHING to address any of the real problems, largely created by the socialist Democrats running the show there, that are affecting the city and it's (long suffering) taxpaying residents and business community. You're gleeful continuance of their folly only goes to further demonstrate the complete intellectual bankruptcy of t he socialist left.

As stated in the article:
""First, we get people who say they just want to forget George Bush's presidency," he said. "Second, we hear from those who say that sewage plants perform a valuable public service and, as such, it does not make sense to name one after George Bush." _________________________________________________
Bush doesn't deserve the honor, but it does demonstrate how his actions in his two terms have affected not just SF, but most of the country! It didn't matter if we liked what he did in his two terms....did it?

Lol. I think it's funny. It's a harmless way for San Franciscans to express their disgust with how Bush has run our country for the past 8 years. But no, the punks in San Francisco government want to name the plant after President Bush in a demeaning gesture of self righteousness as thou naming this wastewater treatment plant after someone is an insult. How typical of the elitist left in finding what they do above most other jobs especially when that job might get ones hands dirty. I remember that County of Marin named the San Quentin Sewage Pump Station to a retiring Engineer as a joke. They thought that naming the run down station to him was a parting shot to the guy who had always wanted the county to upgrade it. 15 years later, and the thing is still venting into the bay and it still has the cheap, gold plastic name tag commemorating the station in Norm’s name. I wonder what Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs) thinks of this?

You know, good sanitation and good sewage treatment is vital for a city to survive. You can get rid of teachers, politicians, newspapers, etc. and it can keep going. But you will literally kill people if you don't have good sanitation. So, while attempting to be humorous, or smearing GWB, they are actually doing him an honor by naming an absolutly vital engineering feature after him. But, since the leftists have no sense of history and no idea of the inportance of anything but their own twisted and changing idology and the cause of the week, this is lost on them.

Yes subdjoe, that was mentioned in the article....
snip> "Second, we hear from those who say that sewage plants perform a valuable public service and, as such, it does not make sense to name one after George Bush."
Some are against it for that same reason!

how about we get a referendum on the ballot to vote SF out of the state and/or "off the island?" ;D ;D ;D Yes! I have too many horror stories of that place. Why do you guys think I became a conservative when I started out as a leftwing, anarcho-feminist, etc etc etc.
