Sunny, on account of your fledgling status, I will avoid pointing out how you must have not been paying attention in 2002, when the Afghanistan campaign was going swimmingly well, and everyone was elbowing their way to a microphone to tell us how much of an imperative it was to take Saddam out before he used, or loaned, one of his WMDs. If you'd like, I can point you to several websites that have summaries of speeches given by both Democrats and Republicans, calling for the overthrow of the Saddam government "before it's too late."

How gullible are you? Of course they say that because they want us to stay in Iraq while they plan their next attack on American soil from their safe haven caves in the hills of Afghanistan. It's time to make good on Bush's (failed) promise to root them out of their caves and bring them to justice.

TNG, if Iraq is the hell hole, why did Bush go into Afghanistan directly after 9/11? If it is such a hell hole, why did Bush 41 not finish the job in Desert Storm? If Iraq is a hell hole, why did Rummy shake hands with Saddam in the 1980's?

If Iraq is a hell hole, why did Rummy shake hands with Saddam in the 1980's? Because the progressives in the UN, your party and other places did not want him to. There was to much political pressure for him to go all the way to Baghdad as General Herbert Norman Schwarzkopf, Jr. advised him to do. He did not go because of people like you saying he shouldn't. And now you throw it up in his face, or our face, as a legitimate point when he was acquiescing to the demands of the a Democratically controlled Senate, 55-45 or 55% Democrat, and a Democratically controlled House, 261-174 or 60% Democrat. Clearly it was a Democrat policy not to finish the job.

We should have never gone into Iraq because that's not where Bin Ladin is hiding. They need to bring them home now. How can Bush send young people to die for no good reason? I think the CIA should be able to get Bin Ladin that way less people will have to die innocently for an unworthy cause. War is not the way to beat them. It only costs lives in the long run. I am not going to be as nice as jgaffney. You do not know what you are talking about when it comes to Iraq. Iraq was about the never ending violations of no fly zones and UN sanctions that were supposed to have consequences. You all are just pissed off because GW was not a pussy and he actually put some teeth into the law. Perhaps you should do a little research about what happened to lead up to both the Gulf Wars before you regurgitate that nonsense you posted on the subject. Because your obvious bias and lack of understanding on the subject are very apparent. It is clear you know nothing of the actual history or what led up to either action in the Gulf.
