The Enron guys all went to jail.
Ken Lay died.
Which Californians will shoot the PG&E intruders dead on the doorstep?
What will Cal. Govt. give as a reward to the nosy neighbors that squeal on their fireplace using neighbors?
How many of them will be subject to the "justice" of those on whom they have squealed?
How much more like Soviet Russia would our liberals like us to be?
Thanks to the Heller decision, we are all a lot more dangerous to the Govt. jackbooters than we were.
Which of our NCDClub liberals wants to be the first to face that type of justice firsthand?
What makes them think we won't protect ourselves to the best of our ability?
Who says fear of retribution is not a motivator?

I am buying wood this year, and solely heating my house with it.

mrrogout: "Invasion of privacy much?"
Ok, don't get me wrong, I don' agree either. Somehow, control is what the govt. and big corporations do.......... They were allowed to "do it"!

you've been smitten. and rightly so! what the hell does enron and aunt martha have to do with this? Smitten kitten I shall be then! GGgrrr When Enron controlled our energy via PG & E, they smirked about poor Aunt Martha, a ficticious little old lady ( or who knows, maybe they had one in Ca), as they knew there was no shortage, while charging us, controlling the "rolling black outs", remember the grids? We were railroaded by Ken Lay. Now that the state wants control, you guys are crying crocodile tears. Perhaps you should get it right. The problems this state had with energy was due to the fact that Grey Davis failed in his duties to the people of California, forcing him to buy energy at higher prices.

As I recall, Enron also had something to do with it.

Me either bloverk, but somehow they do it.... Then the time has come to knock those liberal/progressive/neosocialist demagogues off their high horse. They have destroyed what was once the best state in the union.

As I recall, Enron also had something to do with it. Enron sells energy. We had a policy in place to deal with purchasing at a much lower rate. Grey Davis failed to renegotiate in good faith for the people. We were forced into higher energy prices because of his failure, not Enron's. Enron, like all companies are in business to make money, not to give, but to sell energy. Face up to it, a Democrat is most responsible for the problems we have in this state where energy is concerned.

As I recall, Enron also had something to do with it. Without the ham fisted try at "de-regulation" that the Democrats in the Legislature pushed through, and which Gray Davis abetted, there never would have been an opportunity for Enron to play the market the way it did in California. Combined with years of denial by the state to allow new generating capacity (including nuclear) to be built and brought on line, it's amazing to me that our lights are on at all. If we're going to play the cart and horse game, lets be sure we put the elements in the right order.

As long as our lovely state is controlled by Dems they will continue to make this the USSR-California. People in old Russia had more freedom than we do.
